This is a tough review to write. We started with Appliances on Lakeside after a terrible experience with GE. Our ovenās liner chipped excessively through out the oven. When we broached the subject with GE, they told us the chips were edible and not to worry about the cosmetic damage. Once my wife was sliding a meal into the oven when a piece of the oven liner flew out and into the corner of her eye. She has had 2 surgeries to date and the disfigurement to her face remains.
We explained our plight to Tammy, the owner, who was excessively helpful and gave us hope for rectifying the problem. She convinced us that GE was not a bad brand, even though their service, when not handled well, could be abysmal. So, we spent $1,200 more and purchased an upscale range based on Tammyās advice. The range was delivered with the stoveās vent guard looking like someone had used it as a hammer. The delivery people replaced the new, damaged vent guard with our existing one that looked better. When we went to use the oven for the first time, we noticed that the same chipping as in our less expensive model was present. When we broached this with Jason, a sales manager at Lakeside, he said the range looked like it was 10 years old and he would initiate help with GE. Jason set up for GE to come out and see the range. He also spoke with Tammy. After his conversation with her, Jason told us we had to go to GE because we didnāt buy the range from Lakeside. After our heads spun 360 degrees, we showed him the receipt from Lakeside and explained Tammy was confusing our first range with the second. Her response was to tell her employees not to take our calls. And not to help us. The final straw came when we were told to apply vegetable oil to the racks to mitigate the chipping.
Alas, Lakeside reversed course and was way worse than GE. My advice is go Big Box and avoid Appliances on Lakeside at all costs. Poor products, poor customer service, and a bit of crazy. Our experience with Lakeside, and more importantly the owner Tammy, left us...

Buying experience was overall pretty easy, and the appliances were delivered within a week. This is when the fun starts-had to pay the delivery guys $120 cash to move the old appliances from the kitchen to the garage. What?!! And I was told upon the sale that it is would be done for free. Two separate delivery fees for the other three appliance, plus an additional charge for delivery of the refrigerator, what a ripoff. Home Depot charges one flat fee for the whole delivery. Delivery guys tore my front door frame up because they were too stupid to remove the doors on the refrigerator. Iāve had a fridge or two delivered in the past, and you have to remove the doors to avoid damage to the appliance and property. Upon peeling the protective layer of film off of the fridge, I noticed the dispenser door had stripes all in the paint. Not a LSA problem, but a GE QC problem. Went to LSA the next morning to show pics and try and resolve this. Basically was told a bunch of BS to get you out of the store, no worries, Iām NEVER EVER coming back anyway. Called the sales manager 2 days later, was told, āweāll take care of it, waiting on an ETA from GE on the part.ā Yeah, ok, whatever, more BS. So, later that day, went online to GEās site to file a warranty claim, repairman came to my home within 4 days, ordered a new door on the spot, part was on my doorstep within 2 days. Thereās you ETA. Basically what Iāve learned here is, LSA doesnāt give a rip about you or the appliances they sell, once theyāve got your money. At least with Home Depot, I couldāve refused delivery of the fridge and got an entire new one delivered, FOR FREE.
Lesson learned, and hope the public will too. AND, to this day, I have NEVER heard back from LSA.
Hey LSA, when am I doing to get my $120 cash back? Itās a heck of lot cheaper that a $1025 refrigerator doorā¦ā¦
Oh, Iām not holding my breath to get the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhelp. Here we go. So we purchased a GE washer and dryer for our house in 2022. The thing was broken less than 6 months after installation. We called Lakeside to get a repair, they said for us to call GE repair techs instead as it was under the warranty. Well, after scheduling something 2 weeks out, the GE techs came finally, AND MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE. They had to come back out and fix the original problem and their mistakes. I get that is a GE issue but we purchased the extended warranty and wanted lakeside techs to come out and look at it in the first place. NOW, years later we needed a dishwasher. I get upsold on the phone to a $1,700 dollar dishwasher for build quality etc AND with the caveat of us needing it quickly, this item they had in stock and in their warehouse. We called on a Tuesday I believe, and were assured we would get at least a call this week, by Friday, to schedule install, if not sooner. 2 weeks goes by with not a word from them. Finally I call, and am told someone will reach out, 4 days later we get the scheduling call. Now for the final nail in the coffin, surprise surprise the GE washer and dryer is having the same issue it did years ago. We called them this week, and I am told āthe entire repair department is off this week for the holidayā. Firstly I am all for people getting time off, and I totally understand the utility of having everyone one off at the same time. But that means itās 9 days of no repair, they didnāt have anyone present to fulfill their repair requests. No coverage, no reciprocal deal with another company to use our extended warranty. No one in staff for emergencies, just āweāll call you next Mondayā, well Iāve heard that before from yāall and I know itās BS.
Itās a shame all of the negative reviews of this local business are things I personally have experienced, and I went from being a lakeside cheerleader to...
