Mojo Glassworks — Local services in Lakeside

I have now taken two classes with mojo classwork, one with Nicole and one with Andrew. Also one was a copper foil class and one was a leaded glass class - they offer both types! I enjoyed both classes a lot and felt like I learned something. Nicole and Andrew are excellent teachers and are patient, kind and like really good at explaining what to do and not do or tricky things to look out for, while also allowing the freedom to work creatively. The studio provides all the supplies you'll need except close toed shoes. Classes are really small, like 6 to 8 people so you can get personal attention and meet everyone in your class. Things aren't rushed and you have plenty of time to work. All their equipment is in really good shape and the studio felt so clean and fun and fresh! Just a generally cool and interesting experience all around. Would definitely recommend! They also have a fused glass kiln and the results look really really cool, seems like you can do a lot with it. Im looking forward to coming back for a class for that. Cannot recommend Mojo enough, I have been regularly going for about two years now. I have done multiple different class offerings including 3-D pumpkins, intro to copper foil, and intro to fusing. The two owners, Nicole & Andrew are incredibly knowledgeable and are both wonderful teachers! This studio is a wonderful addition to the RVA community. The classes are easy to sign up for. The studio offers longer form classes and “one and done” classes if your are looking try out stained glass prior to a longer form class. Edit: Took their 8-week copper foiling class and it was wonderful learning how to do the Tiffany method! Nicole and Andrew are such lovely people and are very supportive of their students journey into stained glass. Love love having them be the first stepping stone in my glass career. They also offer leaded classes for those looking to learn lead over copper!
