King's Food Market — Local services in Lakeside

I hadn't been in this store in years. My mom wanted neckbones and I couldnt find them anywhere. I was in the area and decided to stop at kings. I went directly to the back of the store and started looking at the meats I was never greeted by anyone which was okay didn't think much of it at the time. I found several things that she wanted and proceeded to the register. It was a young lady in front of me around the age of 21 making groceries with a young man . She spent $220 in this store and the lady at the register was so rude to her. I was very proud of the way the young lady handled herself she was still respectful at all times and she also said yes ma'am. Her card had a chip and it wasn't working and she asked the lady several times if she could just swipe the card. Her tone and her body language was so aggressive that I became irritated and decided not to purchase the items that I had in my hand. Good customer service goes a long way when you treat people with kindness. I will not patronize this...

Overpriced. Subpar food selection. Rude lady at the counter but that's to be expected when you see who owns the business.🙄 Stingy with bags for some reason. If you ask her to double bag your items, she acts as if you asked her for the combination to the store safe or something. After my last bad experience, I just stopped going there. Who needs expired food and bad attitude when you can just go to a REAL credible grocery store like Kroger or Walmart?!?!? I would say only go there for cigarettes or snacks or beer but even those products...

The shopping was very good. Luckily I arrived when restock had just been completed. Some people act racial though. They associate the owner and his wife both cashiers to be shunned due to Corona started in their country. They properly face mask all day, wipe counter with bleach and baskets so what's the problem people. I like Kings Store myself...
