ATX Party Boats — Local services in Lakeway

We booked an Austin Party Boat for 2 of our friend’s birthday expecting a fun, all-girls experience but it turned out to be uncomfortable.

Once we got to the swimming area, our captain randomly tied us to another boat without any explanation. Then, male passengers from that boat started coming onto ours, which was the last thing we wanted on a girls trip. Our captain was completely unavailable as he was watching a movie with AirPods in and so we addressed it with the other boat’s captain, and he just shrugged and walked off.

Eventually, we ended up tied to two other boats making it four boats total, including one with families and kids. We looked around and realized no other boats were doing this. It felt invasive and unsafe. The floating pads were drifting into other boats’ space, and when kids from a different boat wanted to use our slide, we had to constantly make sure no one got hurt. It honestly felt like they were just doing it to make their job easier, at the cost of our comfort and safety.

All the boats’ music was clashing!! We couldn’t even enjoy our own without it being drowned out. We asked to at least move a few feet away, and they refused, saying it was for “safety,” which made no sense.

To top it off, no one even acknowledged that it was our friend’s birthday, which was the whole point of booking this experience.

The boat itself was fun, and we’re glad we spoke up and asked the guys to leave. That helped us enjoy what was left of the trip. But between the poor hosting, lack of communication, and total disregard for safety and privacy this is not what we paid for, and we wouldn’t...

Captain Thomas was great! He was so kind. He knows what he’s doing! He took great care of us. Gave us a few tidbits about boats and the lake. He showed the birthday girls how to steer the boat. So fun!!! Hope to be back soon!! Sadly though Paradise Cove Marina this boat company uses, to store their boat, is far from Being paradise!!! The marina charged $20 CASH or $25 credit card for each vehicle to come in and park. We had 7 cars, because it was my twin daughters’s 18th birthday and friends met us there. The parking lot is in horrible shape. Our vehicle barely made it in. There were No bathrooms only Disgusting port a potties. When I stopped at the managers office to see if there were bathrooms there a lady, who appeared to be the manager, came out and abruptly and rudely told us their bathrooms aren’t working and go to port a potties. The parking lot is in such bad shape I twisted my ankle trying to get up to them. Don’t come to this marina if you have any walking issues or elderly- the parking lot is way to dangerous.
