Pink's Automotive — Local services in Lancaster

My parents had a very loud noise coming from the rear tires of their vehicle and suspected it could be the wheel bearings. They took it to pinks automotive and told them to take a look at their wheel bearings.

Pinks had taken a look and concluded that both of the front wheel bearings needed to be replaced and this would cost well over $700.

At this point me and my parents were a bit confused, the sound was clearly coming from one of the rear tires. So we decided to get a second opinion from another auto shop.

We arrived at another auto shop and all we told them was “we think one of our wheel bearings might be bad, could you check them out for us?”. After checking it out, they told us that one of our rear wheel bearings needed to be replaced. For under $200 we got it replaced and our vehicle is no longer making strange loud noises!

Had we let pinks automotive replace both front wheel bearings, we would’ve spent a whole lot more cash and still would have a rear wheel bearing that needed to be replaced.

Was pinks automotive trying to squeeze more money out of us? Or was it an honest mistake that they overlooked the issue with the rear wheel bearing? It’s hard to say for sure, but one thing is for sure, we’re glad we took our...

The owner caring about his clientele is the only reason I am giving 3 stars here. A repair was done on my vehicle incorrectly and I was out of a vehicle for roughly 5 months due to issues prolonging from an incorrect repair. The owner was very understanding and sympathetic towards my situation, which I am assuming can be clarified as a one off because service is usually excellent here. I also experienced having to run a warranty claim on a battery that they put in and the owner immediately assisted in finding a solution due to me no longer being in that area.
