Iāve been attending this location for 2 years now and theyāve changed owner AGAIN. I LOVED SUE AND STEVE. I went in today and was completely shocked seeing the new owners. First question Iām asked is, what would you like? Not an introduction or welcome, like the previous owners gave me. That made me feel like they didnāt care that this was shocking and kind of sad for me. Sue usually does my brows. Steve usually does my nails. He even made a special nude powder mix just for mešš¤. I asked the new owners if Steve may have left the powder and they said no. So I asked if they could show me similar nudes and they showed me a clear/brownish color but I didnāt like them. I was looking for a more clear/pink look. This stressed me out. I then resorted to Bubble Bath Gel polish(what I used to get before I met Steve/Sue) The new technician used regular acrylic to fill in my nails. Idk what was happening but my cuticles began to BURNš„ . Iād never felt that before. I alerted the technician and she seemed callous about my concerns. Ultimately, I endured the pain just so that I could hurry and go. I felt unwelcome and like I was a bother. My nails look cute but itās not what I wanted. Iām sad that I now have to find a different nail salon.š„ŗā¹ļø Iām okay with the shift in management, I get it. Thatās business. But the morale and comforting/homey feel has been compromised. And my cuticles are still tingly under the acrylic. First picture shows Bubble Bath(today July 12) 2nd and 3rd are with the mix that Steve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI genuinely try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but my recent experience at this salon left a bad impression.
I came in as a walk-in and was the first person through the door. After I told the staff member I wanted a builder gel set, he told me to have a seat in the waiting area. Two Caucasian women walked in shortly after me, one with an appointment, one without. He immediately seated both of them at nail stations.
I asked how long it would be before I was seen, especially since the woman without an appointment was taken before me. He told me it would be about 15 minutes and said he would be the one doing my nails. When I asked who would be doing the other womanās service, he said he would be handling hers as well.
At that point, I asked why she was seated before me when I had arrived first, and he offered no explanation. I ultimately chose to leave.
As the only Black woman in the salon at the time, I couldn't help but notice the optics of the situation, and they werenāt good. I wonāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a lovely experience. Liz was my nail technician. I am in as a walk in. I am.not from the area. Visiting for work and decided to extend my stay. I needed my nails done and they had good reviews. There was 2 techs in that day. They had a couple appointments they needed to attend to and rightfully so. I spent time in the massage chair and relaxed. Almost took a nap if it wasn't for the grumpy lady next to me, micro managing her service with Liz. I understood what Liz was doing to compensate for the lady's big toe having part of her nail missing at no fault of Liz's. Liz succeeded at making it look great with little gratitude from the grumpy lady. Back to me, Liz did a great job. Love the shape of my nails and color. If I lived here she would definitely be my go to gal....
