The dollar tree is aweful. the manager is rude and doesnt know how to provide customer service herself so how could she possibly train her staff to offer good service? My husband bought some Christmas items and ai noticed these.items had somethings wrong with them.you know the paint had worn off on one side, another thing was broken, and some other paperboard I didn't need for my children school project. I had never returned anything to this Dollar Tree but the other one in a Brandon was.not rude were I had just.gotten the wrong item and 3xchanged it and they weren't.rude or anything. This store manager humiliated.menin front of a huge line of shoppers twice! Forst when zi brought in the items to exchange amd she fit approved the exchange, which is in violation of the exchange policy then again when I brought up my items I was going to exchange.fornthe originally items. She kept saying I'll.donit this time but for the record.we.dont.do.this. I said do what the policy is exchanges is ok.no returns. The items were defective. When zi first came in I had brought the wrong receipt but told her I had the correct receipt at.gkme.or.in my.car she approved it but it was how she treated me. I'll do it this time. I just don't get it. If the corporate policy is exchanges only and doesn't say anything about only one time per customer. I asked her that. But she just kept saying we don't do that. I asked you don't do what exchanges? I just didnt get it. The items can be damaged out. I worked retail.before. I've never even heard of treating a customer so rudely. She kept saying well We will do it this time and holding yo the damaged items to the cashier like look at this stuff the lady brought in then, she'd look at me with this disgusted look. I told her I could gladly go get my receipt but by that time they had already taken the items then to make.me.go through the whole.thjng again. And she had two other cashier their and was like.scolding.me and showing theemplkyee the damages items as it.ai had damaged them. How could.I make paint come off one side. Botton line is this I had a return with receipt. I asked her if I could exchange the items. I told her zid gladly go get my receipt I just brought wrong one instead.of.sayjng.ay.with the receipt I'll return these item but you have to go get the corrrct receipt. I would have gladly gone and got the correct receipt. Before the conversation was finished the cashier.counted the items then the manager hastily took the items.
Then, when I came back up to the register with the item to exchange. It was a new cashier and.when she led the manager instead of just exchanging the items she went through the whole qualifying process again! I couldn't believe it! I left feeling aweful and humiliated. She should have handled the whole ordeal differently. Instead the manager scolded me in front of 3 cashier's and a line of 15 people between the 2 lines. It wasnt necessary and it was in violation of the store policy. Worse of all, I used to be a regular customer here now I will never go to this store again.
I do not recommend this store. The cashiers offer poor customer service they never smile and aren't very nice. Now after meeting the store manager.I understand why the cashiers seem so miserable with a manager who is rude and abrasive herself. My.advice is stay away...
