Gorman's Food Market — Local services in Lansing

This place is an appalling view of humanity. Individuals working at this establishment verbally harassed a close friend of mine and essentially chased him out of the store simply for not meeting their idea (or so they claimed) of what a person who is purchasing food should look like. They accused him, without any cause or provocation, with stealing and very rudely rushed him to the door. He had money on him to cover his selections, is literally the kindest, most gentle and loving person I know and was in no way inappropriate in dress or behavior. I will do everything I can to make sure that every human who might one day shop there learns about the type of judgmental and unkind folks work at this store so they can make informed decisions about where they choose to spend their hard-earned money.

I can only hope that in the future these customer-service-and-empathy-challenged individuals work to open their eyes and hearts and treat others with respect and consideration. Most especially if they ever hope to make money dealing with and serving the public. Good...

A good small local grocery store. They offer some prepared food in their albeit small deli; the exact foods changes daily but there's usually some form of fish and a soup, plus about a half-dozen other options. Their meat counter is exceptional and they will even sell 30 or 40 pound combined packages of meats at a deep discount. Some of their meat (like chicken and some pork) is from large vendors but I believe they actually process most their beef themselves, on site. They sell chilled two-liter bottles of soda. They sell lottery tickets and alcohol. The store recently changed ownership and there's been some subsequent changes but overall it's still a very nice grocery store and worth visiting.

Update January 2023 New owners but still a good store. They sell some new stuff, particularly rice and curry. I haven't seen the chilled two-liter sodas recently which makes me sad but overall still...

This place I go to the floor and my dad my face up there I like this place and I give it 5/5 remind me in 10 in a 10 and I buy my stuff like foods and drinks and my dad just bring stuff there all the time or I mean sometimes in this place is by my house and I live in a small neighborhood this place is the right place and this is the closest store and buy me it's probably easier to get to this place or even a single place but I'm pretty lucky there's a McDonald's by me Anna Dollar general on a there's a lot of cars gas Stones by me too there's probably verse maybe five of the store and Spider-Man And I want to know is this are you going to buy these places to you do good job cuz you're the coolest thing ever by...
