s my mother used to be the secretary back in the late 90s....i used to spend all summer here. I also played on 3 teams every session growing up. Once old enough, I used to ref more that 30 games a week. Now fast forward to 2019....piss poor management, it is literally ran by people in their 20s that have no respect for customers "the players" every game every field there is a issue with the refs. Place is nice but the management and the refs are terrible. Hands down the worse company in the city of lansing. Not even one reply on their reviews because they know it is that bad....smh....pitiful new owners should be ashamed of themselves along with every employee that works there....
UPDATE Last game of session I was asked by a manager to speak with them after my Google review. I was told reason no one was answered all the complaints on Google was due to not being a verified business.
He did state he just became manager and he has already gotten rid of about 1/3 of the referees as they were not up to par.
He stated he is striving to make the buisness better, I will be returning next winter to play and hoping the place is better.
I do appreciate the reach out by the manager and it does give me a good feeling the new manager is going to work hard to make soccerzone the soccerzone we all remember in the late...
Read moreIf you went to your local elementary school and grabbed the first group of third graders you could find and had them run this place...they would do a better job. To start...the facilities are horrible. The fields are in terrible shape and the place is super dusty. The refs are some of the worst I have ever played with in over 22 years of playing soccer. They have clear favoritism towards certain players and the teams that those players play on. Some of the refs don't even know the rules to soccer. The refs also play in the leagues that they are reffing which should not be happening. The management also allows players to play in multiple leagues that they should not be playing in. Top tier players should not be playing in the low leagues and dominating play. This is coed and should be fun for all skill levels. Allowing the inter-league play takes the whole breakdown of leagues reason and throws it out the window. Overall this place is a joke. The only reason to play here is to get a few touches on the ball during the winter months when no other options are available. If this was in a good climate, it would be out of business next week. I don't recommend to anyone unless you go into it knowing the refs are completely biased and you are doing it just for personal conditioning...
Read moreI honestly loved playing here the first season. House team put together in a lower division. Won championship. Great time. Out of no where second season I was in division 5 and I was playing "subs" against division 1 players. They destroy me because clearly were not the same skill level. Season 3 I was asked to play by the team again I hesitated and played one game. Of course a player who plays in 6 divisions weekly destroys us and starts pulling shirts and such getting aggressive. It's coed it should be purely fun. The refs are all friends with certain players and let so much foul play happen with them. I should never see a girl get smashed into a wall by a man. It gets looked over so much. I went to Tony and asked for a refund and he told me no. It's a really piss poor ran place, way to much friend advantages and when a professional soccer player can play in division 1-6? Like come on. Have some rules set so everyone can enjoy. I suggest to anyone seeking to play just make a trailer park league and play outdoors because you don't get to enjoy the play at...
