Super fun. Staff was friendly. Saw gators and turtles. Length / quantity of ziplines could be better (I believe it was 4-5 lines, and some were rather short). Most of the time was spent waiting for rest of group to be re-attached to next line at each station. Perhaps establishment could find a way to make Zipline more autonomous for guests while still maintaining safety.
FYI - guests are incentivized to leave reviews by spinning a prize wheel at gift shop. While they don't outright ask for perfect 5-star reviews, you do have to hang out and wait for your arranged transportation back to downtown to arrive, which may promote disingenuous reviews or create an otherwise awkward situation. When I looked at the reviews before coming I had a feeling something was off with the nearly 100% perfect rating with so many reviewers; nobody is that perfect- and now I know why.
Don't get me wrong the experience was a lot of fun and I would still do it again to fill up our time visiting, but there is room for improvement. If you're coming from downtown NOLA then you may want to bundle this with another excursion out here (such as Cajun Pride swamp boat tour which is right down the road and probably 1 of the best swamp gator tours in region), otherwise you end up commuting for as long as the...
Read moreI've been stalking this place for some time. I've seen the signs for it on I-10. I've looked at pictures here and other social media sites. I've been skydiving. But that was a long time ago. Like, I got a video of it on VHS long time ago. This year of me saying yes to things made me want to come. It starts off on a 60' platform. The group was all anxious and ready to go. I made it to the second platform ok and we all prepared to go to the third. I made it to the third. I'm feeling queasy and anxious. I'm questioning my sanity. It takes some convincing to go to the fourth. Like my anxiety is ramped up. I make it. One more kind of high platform and then zip down to the last. I can't. I couldn't. I was scared. I couldn't. They guy got permission to zip on with me to go. I couldn't. I did. I made it. Finally onto the last zip and I made it on solid ground. This was thrilling, exciting, horrible, scary, nerve wracking. I'm glad I did it. Won't do it again. I recommend for those dare devil's with nerves of steel.
They do disinfect all of the gear used for the zip lining. There is also seating while you are waiting. And fans with misters going on...
