La Hacienda Reception — Local services in Laredo

I've had some experience with this place, on two different occasions. One of them being my own wedding and another for a friend. Neither of them very positive. Albeit I still have very good memories of that hall, however they had nothing to do with the place, but the things that happened, and the people that were there to share that special day. To start off it's obvious that these people don't really care about service. The old bait and switch. Yes the place is very beautiful. Decorations are very nice. However the attention to detail is totally lacking. The place is always HOT like temperature hot. A lot of people complain that the management never wants to turn up the a/c. You will be sweating for sure if you want to do any kind of dancing on your special day. The service from the wait staff was terrible. They came once to get our drinks, then I proceeded to endure a good 2 hour drought with no drinks. Waiter was off to the side playing on his phone. The food was actually very good for a wedding, but the service might be bad enough to totally negate that one good point. Other little details were totally lacking, like the projector screen was way undersized for the picture they were displaying (picture was sticking out over screen by a good 2 feet on both sides. I mean why even have a screen at that point?) The DJs voice was very weird, and his speech was slow and jerky, even though you could tell he was fluent in English. There were other smaller things as well, too numerous to mention. I mean... people get away with this kind of stuff all the time at a restaurant or some other type of business. But when people are paying enough to buy a decent car, or make a down payment on a house, it shows a gross disrespect for the customer, a lack of passion for their job, and overall a sense of apathy by everyone, when you treat such a special day like your just clocking in for your shift at...

I highly recommend La Hacienda Reception Hall. They have great food and excellent customer service. It is an elegant, beautifully decorated place to have any type of event. Without a doubt we were able to make reservations and make decorative decisions without any issues. Again, I can guarantee you'll love their food choices. Mr. Perez is an amazing person to work with. I had a XV celebration for my daughter and the experience with the reception hall was exceptional! Mr. Perez was very helpful and attentive to all our suggestions in decorating the reception hall. The food, waiters, and the DJ were great. My guests and family members were impressed that night with the decorating of the reception hall.
