I was here on the day this happened and it was a lie, the life guards were all over heated and just need a break, they did let their son on the slide for a good amount of time, the person that made this post was extremely rude and snobby, they wanted everything their way, yes the life guard was having a TINY bit of ice cream because it was extremely hot but they were eating NEXT to the pool. It is very important that the guards stay HYDRATED and NOT OVERHEATED. Also, the guards never said there was supposed to be any class. All the life guards did their best to make her feel welcomed, but she kept being extremely rude to ALL our staff. Another thing I would like to say is that it's unacceptable to be shaming people's bodies. All their guards are highly train for any situation and are thoroughly chosen. I HIGHLY recommend to come to the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA, especially the pool because I know all the staff are extremely nice and will try there best to make you feel happy to be here. I am over joyed to be a...

We’ve had such a fantastic experience with the kids’ swim lessons at the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA! From the very first day, the staff was welcoming and organized, and the facility is clean and family-friendly.
But the true gem here is Miss Dee, the swim instructor. She has such a warm, encouraging energy that instantly put my child at ease. Her ability to connect with kids, build their confidence, and gently challenge them to improve is remarkable. You can tell she truly cares about each child’s progress and safety in the water. My little one went from being afraid to get her face wet to confidently swimming short distances—all thanks to Miss Dee’s patient, playful, and skilled instruction.
If you’re looking for quality swim lessons in a nurturing environment, don’t hesitate to sign up at Greater Ridgecrest YMCA. We’re so grateful and already looking forward to the...

They reluctantly opened the slide and I saw right away why they were, it’s because they had to actually do there job and monitor the kids using it. An awful, unwelcoming experience. I’m sure if you are a regular it’s all good, but we were treated like outsiders....
