Mesilla Valley Estate Sales — Local services in Las Cruces

UPDATE: following my previous review James called and apologized for the issues and appears to have gone out of his way to make things right. I will update the review following the sale. To be fair, part of the issues were caused by circumstances beyond his control.

Should be 0 stars. Contacted James and met a week later. Got a great sales pitch. I was told a contract would be ready within a week and the sale would take place in about 2 months. Over a week goes by, no word so I call. James said he was driving and would call back. Nothing. Call back the next day and James said he would get right back. Over a week later, nothing. I call and leave a message. Nothing. Call back a few days later and get voice mail again. I advise them that should I not hear back within a day or 2 I will consider them no longer interested in my business. 5 days later now and no response. Meanwhile I'm waiting to sell the house until the sale is done and paying mortgage on a house with nobody living in it. By doing nothing they have...

James Kanel of Mesilla Valley Estate Sales and his merry band of helpers are magicians!!! They conducted a sale for me after I sold my house and left town. James is an appraiser, so the items, including lots of artwork, were priced appropriately as original art and not as posters or giclees. In addition to producing a successful sale, James and his staff cleaned the entire house, even touching up nail holes, etc. in the walls and they even fully painted a wall that had been partially painted around a large piece of furniture. He also arranged to have the carpets shampooed before locking up. I couldn't be more pleased with not only James' professionalism and the financial result of the sale, but he's a great guy.
