I've gone to Art Obscura plenty of times and every time has always been a great experience. This last time I went was for a poetry reading. I knew a few of the people participating and I'm glad at how diverse they are at this place with different events. I've also gone to support local bands or visiting bands and there's always a wide range. Either in between set or break periods, it's always great to look around at all of the art or antiques. The met the owner Deret a while ago and he's super nice and just a chill guy. He's always there during events and I think that says a lot about how he interacts with his place. Read moreThe museum was locked today when we visited but is usually open on Sundays afternoons. Speaking with the manager of "The Hood" (that shares the same building) we found out that Art Obscura is temporarily closed for a few months while relocating the art to a new building.
There is no sign on the door currently and hopefully the owner will put up a sign to let future visitors know that it is closed.
Update: The owner was nice enough to call me back and explained the situation of not being able to put up a sign due to not having the lease. Will visit again...
