If the truck starts they sell it to you without giving it much more than a visual. You drive off confident in your new purchase and before you know it, you start to sense/hear something is not running right. No problem, you say, it has a warranty and I'll take it to the shop. By the time this truck gets fixed, we will have spent more than we paid for it. They deliberately give you a false sense a security by offering a warranty that will pay close to nothing. The truck has been in the shop every other week with one thing or another. We pay close attention to the codes if they pop up and get the trucks asap to the shop. They want to comeback and say that the computer is 100% accurate. Computer glitches happen all the time. There are many causes to this, so don't depend on a computer as the final authority. The warranty company will use every loophole to get out of covering certain repairs. TEC doesn't care that they sold you a lemon. I bought a doser valve from them for over $400, only to find out after paying an additional $500+ for diagnostics that the part they sold me was aftermarket and not suitable for my truck. Their own technician recommended I purchase an OEM part instead, which finally resolved the issue.
When I tried to return the aftermarket part, they assured me I’d get a refund in two weeks. That deadline came and went without any refund. I went back, gave them my bank information, and still nothing after another two weeks. When I called, they told me the refund was “approved,” but here I am, still waiting with no resolution.

To confirm proper warranty procedures, I then went to TEC Equipment of San Diego, where they replaced my batteries under warranty without charging me anything — not even a service fee. Their handling of the situation was professional and aligned with what I would expect from a warranty service.
I feel disappointed that your team was not willing to honor the full terms of the warranty without additional charges. This experience has caused me to reconsider doing business with your company in the future.
