The GOAT!! Ms. Alise, Resolution Expeditor is the Greatest of All Time!!! I am a small-business owner who was referred to Home Depot Pro by a contractor hired to install flooring. Home Depot Pro department is designed for professional businesses and contractors that typically make bulk purchase and supplies. I placed three orders online but will only speak about the Laurel MD store that the order was picked up from. I will add that the Laurel MD store, is not my local store. The order I placed was on the website that flashed my local store on every page throughout my shopping experience. A reasonable thinker would believe that if your local store has the supplies in stock, that the supplies will come from that store. My local store had more than the amount in stock at the time I placed the order. I ordered 58 cases of laminate flooring. I paid several thousand dollars via my credit card and selected the delivery option. The supplies were delivered as scheduled, We counted three times and verified that the order was for 58 cases, however only 34 were delivered. I refused to sign for a delivery of 58 cases when only 34 were delivered. They passed the blame on one store - to another store - to the online division, and now it gets even worse. I called the online division and was told by the representative to hold on so that she can investigate the issue. The online representative returned to the call after being on hold for over 30 minutes. She explained that she called the Home Depot Distribution Center (where the items are packaged and shipped to the warehouse for delivery), she explained the issue to them and their response was only that "we will call her when we get a delivery time". I asked if I could call the distribution center, she stated "they do not take calls from customers, they said they would call you". I think that someone at the Home Depot distribution center thought that I would believe the lie that "someone would call" and if I would miss their call, I would not be able to call them back. And even as problematic - I would have to accept the delivery time they determine for me: the customer, the business owner, the one whose money they took for products and services that was misleading and nearly half of what they received full payment. The online representative then stated, "Hold while I try to find a supervisor who is available". She stated she doesn't know how long it will take to find one or how long I would have to wait after one is found. I would be placed in line and that the supervisor is only going to tell me what she already told me". By that time, three hours of back and forth of being on hold, just to be sent to another wrong place, I decided to wait for the supervisor.
Ms. Alise, Resolution Expeditor. She is the manager I held on the line for after over four-hours of unmeasurable stress and anger. Ms. Alise exemplified high quality customer service. In this day and time, managers Ms. Alise are rare, to say the least! Ms. Alise listened; she did not take personal my high level of frustration when she took the call. She resolved the issue by doing a deeper dive in investigating the matter. Ms. Alise's primary goal was to resolve the situation and satisfy the customer! She did just that! Ms. Alise, you are an ASSET to their corporation. Home Depot certainly lost me as a future customer and anyone else in the business world that I would have referred, had my experience been different. The world needs more professionals like Ms. Alise. She is an excellent model of high quality and standard of customer...
Read moreA long terrible experience with the purchse of diswasher. The sale assciate told me to disconncect my old diswasher myself or hire a plumber to disconnect my old diswasher while I was paying was the installation fee and not only that, he told me to disconnect every appliance in my house. I took the purchase to find the truth, I came back to get my refund but got the problem straight out.
I waited for two and half months for the machine to arrive. The delivery guys could barely place the machine in its place. After they got the machine in, he told me my circuit was not working. After he left, I checked my circuit, everything was working fine then I found a powercord laid on the countertop. He did not connect the powercord. I called Home Depot, they scheduled other technicians over a week later to connect the powercord.
This technicians were also in experienced, they did such a sloppy job leaving insolation and metal nail holders sticking out over with no purpose to scratch the machine. After finished connecting the powercord, they told me the machine was defective. I called Home Depot and connected with Samsung to have a technician over to assess the defective machine. He found there was no power in my electrical outlet but the garbage disposal was on and working.
I had the electrician over to troubleshoot the problem, he found the diswasher connected and wired to the garbage disposal. We had to keep the garbage disposal switch on to have the diswasher turn on. We had to unplug the garbage disposal to run the diswasher.
There was nothing wrong with my electrical outlet or the diswasher. The inexperienced, lack of skills, and lack of trainings technicians had made all this mess for me. I asked Home Depot to refund me for hired electrician, they refunded me the installation fee. I should have Home Depot reconnect the powercord since their technicians had messed it up, but I realized they didn't have skillful workers to do the work.
Looking back, I should not purchase the diswasher after dealing with the ridiculous customer service who went on to give me false information. I took the installation refund and considered the...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Home Depot recently that left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I walked into the store ready to spend $100 on various items, but little did I know that this would turn out to be a big mistake.
As I was leaving the store and about to drop off my purchased items in my car, I noticed that the entrance was blocked off, forcing me to walk a considerable distance to my destination, the Amish market. While making my way towards the market, a fat and sloppy tow truck driver started harassing me for no apparent reason. He rudely asked if I was going to the market, to which I replied affirmatively. He then proceeded to inform me that I couldn't park in that area, claiming that the Home Depot management had supposedly given him the authority to enforce this.
Naturally, I felt perplexed and irritated by this unjust treatment. I had just spent my hard-earned money at Home Depot, so why was I being subjected to such unfair treatment? Moreover, I noticed that there were other people loitering around the same area who hadn't purchased anything from Home Depot, yet they were not being bothered at all.
The Home Depot manager must shoulder the blame for this awful experience. I have been a loyal customer of this store for over 15 years and have invested both my money and time into it. However, after this incident, I have made up my mind to take my business elsewhere. I refuse to spend any more of my money in a store where I don't feel welcomed or appreciated.
Furthermore, the parking situation at this particular Home Depot location is abysmal. Customers are being towed away without any valid reason, which is absolutely ridiculous. It's disheartening to see a store that I had once trusted and frequented resort to such unethical practices.
In conclusion, I strongly urge everyone to avoid shopping at this particular Home Depot store. The management is clearly lacking, the parking situation is horrendous, and customers are being mistreated and inconvenienced. Take it from me, a long-time resident who has now decided to drive an extra 30 minutes to another Home Depot location - it's simply...
