B&B Department Stores — Local services in Lavallette

The main B&B offers a nice selection of women's clothing. The prices are VERY EXPENSIVE, and the price tags all have a pre-printed "sale price" to attempt to give the impression that you are getting "a deal." The shoe/sneaker/sandle selection includes many popular brands like Reef, Sanuck and Sketchers, but at very high prices. The store is jammed with so many racks, it is sometimes difficult to move around. Across the street, the B&B men's store has a much wider selection of men's and boy's clothing and footwear. Almost monthly B&B has their "sidewalk sale.". Finding parking can be a challenge, and it seems most clothing available are older, last year's left overs. If you don't mind paying ridiculously inflated prices, they offer a large selection of popuar beach brands: Tommy...

Bought a pair of Roxy sandals from here on Sunday. Wore them to beach Tuesday and they are destroyed. Print peeling off and all over my foot, almost like it melted. Product was obviously defective. Went to store to exchange and offered to pay difference of different sandal and the manager told me “some sandals can’t get wet.” Ma’am, we’re in a beach town. The sandals are rubber. And they are made by a surf company. Manager totally made that up to avoid exchanging the sandal. How does this even effect her personally? Damage the product out, it’s clearly not made right....

Purchased a surf brand sweater at full price sweater to wear to an event but ended up wearing something else so I went in to return it.

I saw it was 20% off which still makes it expensive but I decided to rebuy it. It was cute and a nice color.

That’s not allowed!! The cashier wouldn’t let me rebuy it even after asking the manager. There was a full rack of them. They rather let me walk out empty handed rather than buy the sweater on sale.

I’m a local and am (was) a consistent buyer there. I try and support the small businesses in town but I won’t be shopping...
