DTL hair salon — Local services in Lawndale

I absolutely love this place and I love Lil David and big David. I was a walking and with me I brang along my daughter who also needed a haircut. I was a bit nervous due to it being my first time but let me tell you I had an amazing time with these people and we hit it off almost immediately because the energy was so positive in there we were cracking jokes like we knew each other for years. I do not review very often but I knew I had you with this Salon because for one they treated my daughter with nothing but love which is extremely important to me as a mother. During the long process of getting my hair highlighted they continued to make sure that she was okay because they could tell she started to get Restless. I just cannot say it enough how much I appreciate the fact that they were able to take me in without an appointment and do such an amazing job on such short notice. Lowe's salons will always try to put their two cents on how they feel your hair should look but when you come to dtl Salon you are the boss of your own hair and if you would like someone's opinion they are more than happy to give it to you but it will not be forced and that is what makes it that much better. They were super clean and there was nothing that caught my eye that seemed out of the ordinary. I really enjoyed the the playlist of music playing in there and when you're having a good time you're not worried about the deadly heat wave that has hit us all recently. Do I recommend the salon hell no just kidding of course I do I absolutely 110% recommend this salon. They are male friendly as well so all you men out there do not hesitate just because you see the word Salon because they can hook you up as well. I called to get a perm done. The owner aka David picked up and was super helpful, straight to the point, and overall just a good dude. He booked me an appointment with Vicky.

Vicky was super nice and funny! You know how terrible it is to get your hair done and the person has ZERO personality and makes the time go by soooo slow. Well this isnt the case. She made the time fly and her work was AWESOME.

If you're a guy looking to get a perm done, I highly recommend you go to her or this place in general. The perm came out lookin exactly like how I showed her from the reference photo.

Overall, from the vibe, the knowledge, the professionalism, to the actual work itself -- bravo!

The worst experience on a very special day. I made two appointments for an updo for my daughter and I for my daughters first communion. The morning of our event, we get to the salon and David is not there. There is no one there to do my daughter's or my hair. I called David...no answer.
