Days Inn by Wyndham Los Angeles LAX/Redondo/Manhattan Beach — Hotel in Lawndale

Oh. My. God. The pictures are DECEIVING! This hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures online. Walking into the room there was a funky kind of dingy or musty smell. There were tobacco or some sort of stains on the wallpaper outlining where there were once pictures above the old scarred wooden headboard. There was a old dresser with a small flat screen ontop across from the bed, a lumpy couch in the corner and a coffee table infront of that.... not what was remotely pictured, but fine, it's a bed it's just one night... LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!... the sprinkler head was hanging from the ceiling, any time anyone around us flushed or ran any water the pipes in the wall SCREAMED like a scalded cat. While taking a shower not only did we get to listen to the pipes scream but got the added experience of it sounding like a jumbo jet was landing in the bathroom at a deafening volume. The actual door jamb was rotting away in the bathroom (seriously?!) There was mold around the tub and the musty smell was distinctly stronger around the bathroom area... at one point we lost the TV remote between the headboard and the wall, no biggie we slid the mattress forward and found the remote... and an old pair of women's underwear (GAG!) Yeah we left them there, so if you stay in room 210 there's a surprise behind the bed. We slept off an on in-between bouts of screaming pipes in the walls and couldn't run out of there fast enough in the morning. Upon checking out there were people repainting exterior room doors, so they appear to be trying to improve, but given the price point versus experience. ITS NOT EQUAL, I'd expect something like that from a pay by the hour hotel, not a Days Inn and DEFINITELY not for the amount of...

IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOTEL 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!! This place is awful! Booked 8 rooms for a school trip and they didn't bother to tell us that they had no charter bus parking. Then we found out that the whole street would be shut down for 6am-4pm for a parade. How do you get in and out of a hotel if the entire street is blocked for 10 hrs. Also the pictures we saw are deceiving, it looked nice in the pics and it's a dump. Also there is outside door access and that isn't allowed with school trips. The staff was rude and completely unaccommodating. Telling us that she didn't think it was her job to say of by the way we don't have bus parking. If I'm booking 8 rooms and you don't even have enough parking spots for that there is a problem. And after trying to talk to them to give us a refund so we could find a hotel once we were here. They ran our card for the full amount without even seeing the card and that prevented us from using it to get us another reservation on that school card so we had to use personal cc. The whole thing took us 3 hours to figure out. The kids were stuck on the bus sitting for 3 hrs on the bus. I will never stay at a days inn ever again for personal or...

This place is cute from the outside, great location, close to the highway... kind of look like a hotel in the forest from the front... BUT that isn't it. You get one extra surprise .. Room 309 has BED BUGS! I stayed in this motel, not hotel on 7/30 and woke up to my friend yelling and telling me that she had been attacked by bed bugs. I slept through the night - waking up every couple of hours. swatting what I thought to be a fly or something. We both have bites all over our hands and arms, my friend has a bite on her bed bug. To make matters worse, we went to the office, asked to speak with them privately and advised them of the incident, they did not seem to care, they did not offer to comp the room, they told us their manager was off, they had to charge us and he would review and get back to us. In what world is that okay? you charge $206 a night and when customers are bitten by bugs- bed bugs, you do nothing and still charge them? Please do NOT stay here. Wyndam doesn't respond to complaints about their lower level hotels, this place is a disgrace!!! The room smelled of ciggs, even though I asked for a non smoking room. This is...
