They frequently have good prices on their meat, which is about the only reason we shop there at all. However, you absolutely MUST check the dates on EVERYTHING! Every package of one brand of diced ham was outdated today. Every package of the smaller brand hams were outdated as well. We've frequently found dairy items outdated. The last time we were there, we failed to check the date on the Crisco packages and ended up purchasing one that was outdated. Read moreThe fort Benjamin Harrison commissary is one of the most unique places for veterans to go and shop there's a veteran you are able to go in there whether you're service connected or not long as you have your VA ID card you will be allowed to go in and shop there's no taxes on what you buy the prices may seem a little higher than what you used to but it's the best quality of products that you can buy in meets fish produce and anything else that you want to buy from the commissary so I would advise all veterans in the state of Indiana are out of Indiana that does not have a commissary to visit the commissary and do some shopping it is a wonderful place...

Like Mary at the deli counter..She remembers you..She always knows the meats and cheeses..When she recommends something..we always try it..and it is just the way she described it.. Infact all the people that work there are just wonderful..They always are ready to help if you need anything..and they are all so kind to me and my dog..
