This place is ran, monitored, and stocked by volunteers. I am truly impressed that they are as organized as they are. The young lady behind the counter, I am thinking her name was Cassie, was very nice and very informative of the prices and locations of different genres of books that my husband and I were looking for. We spent about 80 dollars and got 22 books. I can see this place as a warehouse of books. They are kind of like the Costco of books. Things here are stacked and sideways. They have handicapped parking. The front door for entry can accommodate a wheel chair. However there is a small 2-4 inch step down at the door. There restrooms for customers. Right now they have two chairs in the front. They have a large religious and Christianity section. Check out the photos and prices. You can't get these prices at the big box stores. You know they say that location is everything in business. It would be worth your drive to come to this book store. They have gained the title of the half/half price book stores for me. My husband and I always tend to get books for family during Christmas. We usually end up going to half price books. We will now be going to red dogs books. The books are used and new. Hope that you go and check it out. You'll thank yourself for it....
Read moreThis place is 95% Used books $3 OR LESS! Someone made a review saying it was dirty and unorganized with old books... Not true at all! Seems like someone went through a lot of trouble to make a fake profile just to say something bad about this business! SHAME ON YOU! Don't trust that 1 star review. They are probably unhappy in their personal life. Check out their photos on here for confirmation.
This store has CHEAP good books. They are constantly restocking. Watch their social media if your looking for something specific. Books this cheap don't last long! They are well organized. Larger sections by author last name. Smaller sections still grouped but when they're only $1-$2 I'm happy to look in my sections to find my books or ask one of the girls for help! The red head knows everything in the store and she's always super helpful.
From my understanding they do order some but they primarily work off donations since they are nonprofit! So the pricing $1-$3 is just enough to keep them in business!
They did have some 2025 titles, priced mostly at $5 each. Which is more than fair for a brand new book. Support your local bookstore and report that 1 star...
Read moreWhile I would usually endorse supporting local bookstores, I cannot with this store. There are a lot of books, but they aren’t very good. Everything is tossed around and very unorganized. The books are in varying conditions, but many are used, old, and not in good condition.
The prices here are way too high. A book that might cost you 3 dollars at Half Price Books will cost you 10 dollars here. This includes books that aren’t in good condition.
I have a theory that the owner accepts (for free) or buys books, only to sell them for two-three times as much as they are really worth.
Save your money and go to another bookstore, one that isn’t trying...
