Daughter bought tickets, werenāt able to make it. Called spoke with movie associate, he said bring in next day to get free passes to see movie for next night. I ask him why we were getting charged for Alist tickets. He informed me to come next day when we get our passes could get refunded. He asked what movie we told him. Next day came in to get our passes and daughters refund. The woman with blonde hair Liz, known as general manager was working with a very disrespectful, rude cashier with septum ring, Rose. They both were very rude, denied helping us with passes or refund for tickets. Let general manager, Liz know associate told us to come in today and weād get refunded and passes for today. She said couldnāt do that. Wasnāt able to use military and had an attitude the whole time they checked us out. As I walked away to get my drink the young lady, Rose with septum ring and glasses , said with an attitude you enjoy that movie now. I told her I would. As I was with daughter checkin tickets the young lady, Rose was staring me down, mean mugging me and actually flenched at me. I have never been treated so disrespectfully, unprofessional and damn right rude before when came to this theatre or ever anywhere. I will be calling corporate to report this behavior and along with the way they both treated us as customers. People like this should not be working in customer service and definitely not management. Usually when associate has told customers info manager will apologize for, ask who told us and let customer know if was misinformed then do the right thing refund tickets and give us passes for that evening but not this general manager. Staff should be trained and informed with correct info and def not treating customers so poorly, rudely and with such disrespect. Very unprofessional. Maybe the gentleman that I spoke with on phone yesterday should be the general manager. He surely was more helpful. Thinking about canceling my monthly AMC due this the change of atmosphere and attitude going on around here. My daughter, her bf and myself all have AMC subscriptions but not going to anymore. Iām business like this where you are needing customers happy, and want them come back. Shouldnāt be subject to such behaviors. This would def fall under a form of harassment and HR complaint. We come here to have fun, enjoy our fav actors and watch new movies. We pay good money for Alist. This was our happy place. Not anymore. Just sad. I do hope after talking to Corporate that they take a better look at who they are hiring as managers and associates. I have 18 years experience in customer service, retail, sales, management. I would never treated a customer this way. In fact, Iād definitely would have known how to treat my customers and handled it with professionalism, courtesy and respect. AMC you need a new general manager and def take a look at your cameras. April 13, 2023 around 640-650pm. Yāall see Roseās harassing, unprofessional, threatening behavior towards your customers along with how Liz, your general manager handled the whole situation. Look forward to speaking with you. Just curious to know how often this happens and how many people get treated this way. If customers get treated this way, Iād hate to know how employees...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am from Lawton, Ok. I, like most of my classmates, joined the military and left the city shortly after graduating high school. Itās been a decade and a half since Iāve formally lived in the city, but I come home to visit my mother and father routinely. Iāve even started bringing my own family with me to show them the rugged plains life that helped shape me into a determined hard charger in the military world. So I was very disappointed on Monday, July 30th when I purchased a ticket for my father, myself, and my son to see Teen Titans GO! @ 1:45 p.m. we arrived early, like we always have my entire life, to get a good seat, eat popcorn, and hopefully take advantage of the ālarge free refillā that I know for certain still exists at the theatre in the town I am currently stationed. I left 10 minutes into the opening to get the, what I assumed would be, an easy transaction for a refill. This has been standard in my moving going experience for nearly 3 decades. So, I was shocked to find that the theatre only offers refills to card carrying members. And that they charge 5 dollars for the refill, every refill. As I am not from the area, I declined to pay for more popcorn. (I know how much the kernels cost...) It dampened my experience, and kinda upset my 3 year old son.
All this to say: Anf movie theatre that does not offer free refills on a ālarge popcorn purchaseā is a one star theatre. No matter how nice the rest of the facility is. The upcharge on concessions is a welcome tradition when going to the movies. The Patriot 13 took it a step too far. Plus, the young womanās demeanor toward the whole event was āuninterestedā to say the least. Lawton gets a bad rep, but vein raised here, I know we are better than what outsiders think. This morning had me question it for just a moment. She couldnāt care less that she was there. And had no emotion in her voice as she flatly told me the refill policy of the theatre.
The movie was fine. Everything was good. My star rating only reflects the concession stand at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went 2 weekends ago to see The Amateur. The staff are always pleasant. We usually go to an earlier matinee. The popcorn on that day could not have been fresh. It was not even luke warm, no salt whatsoever. The soda machines need to be replaced with older style machines. They are absolutely filthy. I hate reaching my arm in there to get ice. My shoes were sticking to the flloor, literally. It felt like I was walking on sticky tape. I mean, this was a 12p-ish showing, WHY is the floor that disgusting that early in the day. I used to work in a movie theater, and there is NO way we would have gotten away with that type of filth. The bathrooms....My bladder has to be about to explode before I'll use it. The theater we were in was just as filthy, sticky floors there, too. I don't understand why the seats are never cleaned. Just make them all leather/pleather seats, because they'll be easier to clean. That fabric catches everything. I get so grossed out seeing people hair and animal fur all over the seat. It's unfortunate this is the ONLY newer theater in Lawton. The Vaska seats hurt to sit in and their popcorn is worse. I'm telling ya, a little extra hard work pays. More people would love to come see a movie on the big screen of a CLEAN theater. Invest in a bulk candy dispenser. We had one in the theater I worked at, in Tacoma Washington....
