I'm going to drop this here since the reviews on their website have to be approved by an admin so I'm certain any seemingly negative ones will be deleted. I left them two stars on their website but since the review won't post and was most likely hidden, I left them one here. For what it's worth, what could've been a simple manufacturing issue that they tried to take ownership of and fix has turned into another scathing review and another LaRue that will be traded out to sit on a shelf in a pawn store. Based on my interaction with them, as long as they've been paid I don't think they'll care.
"This gun is accurate and shoots most ammunition phenomenally. I used the upper for a lot of military applications and had no issues with green-tip or black-tip ammunition. DO NOT try to shoot any frangible ammunition through this barrel if you're someone who shoots a lot of steel. The chamber isn't cut enough to allow the BCG to seat fully into battery. It may push a round into battery every so often but then will experience cycle issues due to the BCG being "pinched" forward. If it does seat one fully and you attempt to pull the charging handle back, you will have to hammer it to the rear to get it to extract the live round. In essence, don't shoot frangible ammunition. Just know that if you're shooting steel you're probably going to catch frag, so stick to paper on the range.
Also, don't try to contact LaRue customer service for help. It's a losing battle. I was sworn off almost immediately, essentially being told that "the gun isn't designed to shoot all kinds of ammunition". While I loosely agree with that premise, I've never seen a gun that wouldn't even fully seat all ammunition of the same caliber. It's a shame because I love the rifle when it works but when the lion's share of military training is done on steel, and I can't shoot steel, and the company refuses to do anything even resembling to care about their defect, it's a huge turn-off. I'm willing to accept the fact that maybe I just got the 1/1000 lemons that they produced slightly out of tolerances, but being unwilling to offer any help is unsat.
I love it when it works, but I'll happily be selling it soon to replace with a Geissele, Seekins, Daniel Defense, or any company that prides itself in taking accountability of its mistakes a little bit more. Bear in mind that the reason I ended up calling them about the issue was because they failed to respond to any of my prior emails...

I would like to say this, Product looks great on the website but not in hands of customer. If I had the 700, 20 moa rail in my hands to review I would. I placed an order towards the end of March. I received an email the same day of purchase explaining the rail was back oredered (no where online stated so while placing this order). I called and spoke with a sales rep mid April who said the rails are in the machining process and my item would ship closer to the end of April. (1 month from order date) Well... didn't happen. I spoke with two other people Dan on May 11th, and John a week and a half later whom said rails are coming out of production and will be shipping in a week. Today is May 27th almost 2 months after placing my order with no hope I'm going to actually receive my rail or sticker. Very disappointed and will not be recommending to family or friends unless they can...
Read moreThe best customer service I’ve probably experienced within the firearm industry. LaRue and the team does a wonderful job of craftsmanship with their firearms and parts; and they respond to questions promptly. Yes... sometimes they take a long time to ship a product, but that’s because those products are probably backordered because they’re so awesome and everybody wants them. I’d say it’s worth the wait to get them. It’s pricey, yes, but that’s because it’s good quality craftsmanship. I’d rather pay an arm and leg for something that will last long and be accurate than something cheap and not as reliable. And I promise, they didn’t pay me for this review. I sincerely think they’re the best (or one of the best) in the industry. I wanna be like LaRue when...
