Pretty meh for the price. 4 burgers and fries for our order, literally only 2 other customers in the place and it took nearly an hour. Luckily, wasn't in a hurry. But asking a hungry 2 year old that could of used a nap to keep waiting when they expected food can put a kink in your mood as well.
Look, I get it, inflation is kicking us all between the buns. So less than nice prices are to be expected.. But for what I spent here for a bit better than Wendy's, I could have had a Mighty Fine with a more engaged staff getting my order out much quicker.. Look, times are hard. All those tech bros around there? They're getting laid off due to the economic slump and getting replaced by AI.. Folks are FLEEING Austin now. Mediocrity at a steep price ain't gonna cut the mayo much less the mustard in our new reality. You can charge a real price that still turns a profit IF you have a product AND service folks enjoy. But you gotta offer something WAY better than the big chains at service WAY better than the big chains like Wendy's or Whataburger. THEN you can charge prices that still pull a profit despite the higher inputs.
My honest take is someone went to Hopdoddy Burger Bar and decided "yeah, I can half@$$ rip that off", but instead went sorta Bob's Burgers with half the drive and passion with none of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: I decided to try Sharks Burger again because I was in the shopping center. This time the experience was polar opposite. Service was faster, everything was fresh and delicious. My only remaining critique is their fries and tots don't travel that well. It was 6 minute drive from Sharks burger to my home and the fries and tots were already getting soggy by the time I got them home.
That said: 5-10 minutes in a 200 degree (Basically keep warm setting) freshened them right up and they tasted fresh out of the fryer. I would recommend Shark's use different packaging that let's the steam escape because that's the biggest cause of soggy fries/tots.
Original review below:
It was pretty disappointing to be honest. It's below Wendy's in terms of quality of the burger. My bun was very stale and there was a chunk of bone in my ground beef patty that I almost chipped a tooth on. What's weird is it literally took them 15 minutes to make the burger even though there was literally not a single customer inside when I placed my order. So having to wait that long for a mediocre burger was disappointing to say the least.
The tater tots were pretty good though, so there's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDear readerā¦. Stop. Do this now: Ask yourself, ādo I want a great burger right now?ā. Then admit to yourself that the answer is āYES! Yes, I want a great burger right now.ā Well, get up, grab your fellow burger lovers and go to Sharks Burger. Iāve lived in neighboring Cedar Park and grew tired of all the burgers weāve got over here, so we raided the neighboring kingdom of Leander. Our better burger curiosity was richly rewarded.
After the first bite of the Rise & Shine Burger I said out loud āmmmmm, that is a DAMN GOOD BURGER!ā, cāest une piece de resistance, itās a masterpiece brothers and sisters. My better half got the jalapeƱo jack burger and they go hard on the peppers, fantastic. Another great burger. Also, they have awesome fries and tots for the full experience. Iād also advise you to not skip out on the dipping sauces either (best jalapeƱo ranch Iāve had), man oh man what a good burger joint they got.
Also, I will say that the giant hand painted ocean mural is really something, the artist put a lot of TLC into that, I hope they got a lot of burgers for...
