An Apple technician scheduled this appt due to a technical malfunction with my newer iPhone. I was told that the appointment would be covered by Apple due to the origin of the malfunction.
I arrived at my appt, an employee took some basic information and asked that I come back in 2-3 hours after they had taken a look at it.
They were unable to restore the device and as such simply recommended replacement.
Furthermore, they charged me a $65 "diagnostic fee".
I informed them that they never mentioned the fee before and that an Apple representative had told me that any fee would be covered by Apple. I paid the $65 but expressed my concern that it seemed "shady".
The general manager Robert Weiger came out of his office (without a mask) to where I was standing to inform me that it was in the contract that I had signed. I asked for the papers that I had supposedly signed that day and when they gave them to me they were in fact not signed. I have attached them in this review.
At this point the female office manager came out from her office also without a mask and as she was laughing said "unfortunately, we are not able to keep our lights on doing free repairs". During our conversation I found her to be incredibly unprofessional, condescending and arrogant.
Bottom line, they refused to submit the documentation to Apple for reimbursement and charged me for a service that I had not consented to as shown in the attached image. Their office staff conducted this encounter with very little professionalism and an Apple technician I spoke with after this encounter questions whether the repair service they charged me for even occurred and recommend that I go to an...
Read moreDO NOT trust these scammers. Bob scammed my Dad out of repair fees that took over 2 months to fix and it’s still broken. If he had simply taken this to any Apple store they would have repaired it but instead Bob said they’d fix it and he’d fight for his money back if charged. This never happened and Bob who claims he “has been in retail since 1977 and selling Apple since 1985” said he had ZERO bad reviews or unhappy customers.. but if you look on Yelp you’ll see this company has many complaints and here’s another Bob. Stop over promising and underdelivering. This generation won’t tolerate it. People like Bob think they can screw people over because there’s little competition in the Upper Valley but save yourself the horrific experience, incompetent technicians and a boomer mansplainer who talks over anyone that disagrees with his scam tactics. While it’s great to support local it’s not worth it if they’re incompetent frauds that DO NOT care about their local customers. If you buy a Mac go to Best Buy 10 mins away and they have a rep that works for Apple. He will tell you that this treatment is outrageous. Going to a Mac store you get treated excellent, you get trained, you get support for repairs and you don’t get scammed or discriminated against if you’re elderly or a female. Bob should be replaced if this business has a chance of surviving in...
Read moreI brought my Mac in for a SIMPLE file recovery. (One folder got replaced by another resulting in loss of files). Laptop was IMMEDIATELY (within 15 minutes of loss) brought to systems plus. The young man at the door acted as if he’d never seen a computer or answered questions in his life, already leaving me wary about giving them my computer and external drive. It was a Friday, and I was assured that they would get to it by the following Tuesday if not sooner. Today is Friday again and I had to call to check the status of my laptop, which apparently they ran a test on yesterday and are planning another for today... So for $90, systems plus will hold my laptop for a week and then slowly and unsuccessfully run tests over 2 days but without updating me. FOR $90 I COULD PURCHASE THE SAME PROGRAMS TO RUN TESTS MYSELF THAT WOULDVE BEEN DONE SOONER. Not worth the money, the workers give you no confidence, the work will not be done on time, and they do not keep you updated with the contact information you leave them. DO NOT bring a device you care about to...
