Pluses: Friendly owners, if you like to haggle, maybe this is a place for you. Negatives: The prices are what definitely deters us from stopping here regularly. It's a local business, and I would love to support as many as we can. But I go to a lot of used,/thrift/consignment stores, etc and the prices are wayyyyyy higher than things are worth. Example: a much older microwave - $40. I can buy a new one for that. An old Steelers jersey, like the kind you buy in retail stores like a JC Penney (notbtje really good ones) for $50 was (I believe) $90. Not everyone wants to haggle or negotiate over prices. I like finding things I can refinish or repurchase. I will stick to the ReStore or Salvation Army. Just because something is old doesn't make it valuable. 😉 I mean look at me, I should be priceless at my age, and I probably wouldn't retail for more than $50 if I were a...
Read moreThe store was way overpriced. I went in to buy a cabinet. I found one. Paid him for it ,cash,he put it right in his pocket.no bill of sale, nothing. and then he said I have another cabinet over here, and he shows me it. And that one is a bit bigger. Told him ,that one would work better for me,and that I would take it instead, since it was $20 more....this man who owned this store, looked at me and said all sales are final. You have to buy this one,for full price... Never expecting such a response,as this .I feel that I was taken for my money by a greedy man.I left that store with a very sour taste in my mouth. Thinking how sad of a person he is. To put money over the satification of a customer. so much for taking care...
Read moreFun to look but the family running this place is all over on pricing. There was a sign saying "customer appreciation sale make an offer" and upon entering I was told I'd get a bundle Discount. 10 minutes later I come back with an arm full of stuff and was guilted into $1-2 off each item. They even told us they get boxes of stuff essentially free at an estate sale and then price it like it was their mother's sentimental ... etc... It was fun to look but they need to run it like an antique store and clean it up a bit for the...
