What a special place. Barbara & Zach (if my memory serves me correctly and I hope I spelled them properly) have a fantastic little place here for all us coffee lovers. My boy and I attempted Jim Thorpe on Saturday and couldn't get out of that craziness fast enough. So this tired dad googled "coffee shops that don't suck" and the first place that showed up was "Hug in a mug". So my Google maps and I said, that's the one! So we grabbed a quick appetizer at the eatery in the same building and as my boy finished up I ran over to Hug and was first met by Barbara as she helped me find the shirt sizes for it girlfriend and I because lemme tell ya, their shirts are as badass as their coffee. So after Barbara and I got all that worked out (and they're a super kind and can make other sizes if you need. I'm telling ya. This is a special place) I make my way to the counter and ordered my iced cold brew with an extra shot or espresso with vanilla foam of yumminess. And holy crap was it spot on and gave this Dad the lift he ended to get back on the road for more adventures. My boy grabbed a delicious protein bar and they gave me extra stickers to take home. My friends, my fellow coffee lovers. I highly absolutely recommend visiting the fantastic Hug in a Mug and say hi to Barbara and Zach. We'll be back. My girlfriend Erin can't wait to get up there now after I raved about you so much. See you 2 soon and thanks so much for being so...
Read moreLots of options for food & caffeine. Monday 2-for-1 on baked goods when I went in. Chilled Chai tea was excellent. All prices are so much better than NYC prices. They’ll offer to add hash browns to the $3.50 / $4 sandwiches (the hash browns are handheld, single-serving style — and I think we’re just 2 bucks). The barista asked us super specific about how we liked our drinks, and we’re super active in crafting the whole bundle of things we ordered be ideal. Super cool staff.
The location is a multi-business open concept layout with a bike shop, Mexican restaurant, and event space all in the same building. Local candies and snacks, and also local artists’s sculptures decorate the place. Atmosphere is super easy going, but also has all this to offer. Best spot I could have hoped...
Read moreGreat coffee shop to check out if you have the chance. Has a unique aesthetic and a very comfortable intriguing atmosphere. There's always plenty to look at between the hundreds of plants spread around the building and the new local artwork and photography displayed throughout the seating area. Had a ham and cheese which hit the spot. Usually get their iced matcha with lavender or honey (which is way better here than the Dunkin across the bridge). Their london fog is great too. The price is a little up there but at this point what isn't? It'll cost right around the same as Dunkin but it's a local shop with a better vibe and better quality. Totally worth stopping by, glad I did. 👌 Also keep an eye out for upcoming events. They do a lot here as it's a pretty roomy place...
