After researching nursing school options in Naples, FL, I chose Jersey College of Nursing. It is ranked as a "Top 100" Registered Nursing program. Jersey College of Nursing in Naples partners with Physicians Regional Medical Center, which provides the opportunity for the highest caliber of hospital-based clinical training. I have several degrees from different universities, including a master's degree, and I can share that in my experience, this program is inspiring and exceptional. All of my instructors are nurses with decades of experience and advanced degrees. Thus, the classroom and clinical instruction are top-notch; I am excited that I am not only learning textbook material but also real-world examples from my expert instructors, who are passionate and truly dedicated to student success. My entire experience, from my first inquiry to admissions to preparing for the entrance exam to being immersed in skills labs, has been extraordinary. The whole corporate culture is professional and personal--It feels like a family environment in terms of the esprit d' corp. The school is committed to excellence, and its performance statistics reflect this with a phenomenal NCLEX pass rate. The facilities are high-tech, with a state-of-the-art skills lab. This school is designed with their student's success in mind. The caliber of support services earmarked to support student success is spectacular and, from my research, a rarity. For example, they provide counseling support services if needed, a mentorship program, tutoring for the entrance exam, and NCLEX preparation embedded within the program. There are opportunities for scholarships and other tuition programs available. The school has campuses in many states and has been dedicated to providing nursing education for over two decades, according to the website. In my cohort, there are students of all ages, from those pursuing a first degree to middle-aged students pursuing second+ careers. It was a daunting decision to choose a nursing school, so for anyone in the research process, I wanted to share my experience so far. I am beyond thrilled that I decided to apply to Jersey College of Nursing: It is 100% committed to student success, provides top-caliber instruction and hospital-based clinical training, and has a proven track record for NCLEX exam preparation. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a dedicated nursing school committed solely to educating nurses with personalized instruction and fantastic outcomes. Good luck on...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I have been an LPN for almost 3 years now and have always wanted to pursue my RN from the moment that I graduated high school back in 2011. My journey to become a nurse has had it's ups and downs, I am not going to lie. It was a emotional roller coaster ride. I graduated from Cape Coral Technical College's Practical Nursing program in August of 2019 and it was stressful and definitely challenging, but I will never forget what I have learned, my fellow classmates/friends, instructors, and my clinical experiences while attending that school. Since then? It will be 3 years in December that I have been working at a urgent care and it is truly a rewarding experience thus far!
A lot of my coworkers are all MA's / LPN's attending RN school or who just graduated and passed their boards. Seeing them make it made me believe that I, too, can go back for my RN and that it IS possible to make it just like them. Coming from a family of RN's too only motivated me even more to stop being scared and further pursue my education and finish what I had started. I always had that desire to go back, but the only matter was when? I took a leap of faith and that is where Jersey College comes into play.
I honestly can say that I felt very at ease during the admissions process right from the get go. I could tell (just like my PN school) that this college was going to be different. Almost like I knew that this was the right decision to come to this college. There are many colleges out there, but the staff, Diana, Anne, Erica, and Angelina are incredible! Everybody is so caring and they treat you like family :D. You are not just another number. They are all there to help you every step of the way and that is what I love the most! Everything such as uniforms, books, and NCLEX fee, is all a part of the tuition which is AMAZING! They also will accept 4 credits for transferring: English, College Algebra, Microbiology, and Sociology! I am so excited to get started with their LPN-RN bridge AP...
Read moreWithdrew 2 weeks prior to the end of the first semester. Disappointing experience with my male professor. He is very verbally abusive to the students, yelling and using public humiliation in attempt to gain control. Unfortunately, the whole class was on edge with high anxiety. No support from Administration as “she” was his advocate, in addition, she broken my confidence disclosing private information in front of a fellow classmate during a verbal confrontation. I contemplated seeking a lawyer but chose to move on. I believe in karma. Brilliant, unbiased, professional Dean of Students was the only decent human being who could actually listen to my plight. I chose to cut my loses as I did not wish to contribute to this man’s pay check any longer. I do strongly believe he suffers from IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder), and should seek psychiatric help and medication. Invest your money in a not-for-profit state college...
