I called in to Webberville Feed and Grain inquire about some cover crop seed, sorghum sudan grass. i knew this time of year (late summer) it was nearly impossible to get organic but I asked and they said no organic available. So I said I need untreated seed as this was going on an organic farm. They had to order it so i waited, I called a few days later and it was in. I asked them as I picked it up, Its untreated, right? they said yes. I looked at the bag and did not see anything about any treatment of seed so I figured it was not treated. So I gave it to the new farmers, they planted it and then later showed me their gloves, asking why their gloves were pink!! I went and looked at the bag and did not see anything on the outside of the bag to indicate that the seed was treated. Later a colleague ripped open the bag to find the info stuck to the inside of the bag indicating a pesticide on the seed. The moral is... look at the seed before you buy it. don't trust that the sales guys are listening to you or care about organic. Now the farm cannot certify next year but in 3 years time because of this horrible error! They did not offer to reimburse me but they finally said sorry. better than nothing but...

They didn't have the food I asked about. I'm not special ordering from that rude guy.
I was going to support a local business, but not this one. Tractor Supply was very nice on the phone and can special order the food I need. I have not been to that...

All joking aside, they give great customer service and I love that I can just pull up and they throw...
