Extremely unprofessional and raised serious concerns.
I brought my motorcycle to this shop for basic maintenance. The fuel light had just come on while riding it to the shop (2 miles away).
After nearly two weeks with no updates, I called to check in and learned that the shop owner, Craig, hadnāt even ordered the levers yet. He then told me that after a test ride, he believed my bike was struggling to start and recommended costly engine workāsome of which I had already done recently, by him. I declined the additional work and went to pick up my motorcycle, only to find it wouldnāt start or hold a gear, making it unridable.
The next day, Craig informed me that the fuel pump needed replacement, along with a list of other parts, and quoted over $1k warning that the cost could go up depending on what else might be wrong. I told him I would pick up as is, and explained that it didnāt make sense to tow my motorcycle out of the shop when I had ridden it in without issues, especially after already paying $1k in work unrelated to the engine. At this point, Craig became confrontational and said he would charge $25/day for storage.
When I returned with a trailer and loaded my motorcycle, Craig became aggressive, began recording me, raised his voice, using bad words. He stated that my well-maintained, garage-kept motorcycle was garbage . He eventually admitted that the only real issue was that the bike was out of gas, and that after refueling it, it worked fine. This confirmed that the bike had been ridden enough to drain the reserve tank (the reserve fuel meter showed 32 miles when I picked it up).
The most concerning part: the front brake had been zip-tied in place instead of original bolts...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat shop experience for motorcycle newbie with Craig/MotoBros.
Had protection parts installed/tail tidy/first service/oil change on my MT-03 and couldn't be happier with the experience.
Craig took the time to keep me up to date with what was going on, including picture proof, and completed a super clean install on the tail tidy, as you can see in the photos I attached, even though it required drilling into the plate and routing the oem turn signal wires (which I didn't know, until he advised me, before starting the work).
From our conversations, the work that was done, and the cleanliness of his shop, you can tell Craig is meticulous with his trade, and for someone who is very, very, careful about who he hands his vehicles off to, I don't have any hesitation about being a repeat customer.
Last thing, Craig also went above and beyond by helping me take my bike back home and offering helpful advice (run a towel with wd-40 on the chain after every ride to keep it clean and lubricated - haha), when I was too nervous to ride it back (even though it was a short distance away).
All in all, highly recommend going to Motobros for all your motorcycle needs. And almost forgot to mention, the cost for the work was very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdit to respond: The Owner's response is what I'm talking about and why he has so many bad reviews regarding his behavior and attitude. Also, This is why his ebay ratings are struggling so bad at 60%. He is also mistaking me for, what I assume, is another upset customer but also showing his terrible attitude. Stay far away from this guy.
Craig is extremely rude and a nightmare to deal with. This reflects in his Ebay ratings where he also sells used parts under the name "Racing 144". Its odd how he does not use his own shop's name in his alternate online profiles to also sell used parts. People do this when they can't help but develop a bad reputation under one name so they try and sell merchandise under other names. His ebay rating is well under 100%, closer to 60%. Save yourself time and money by choosing to do...
