Dollar General — Local services in Lexington

Store was very dirty. Every time I go in the store anymore it is disgusting. Unorganized, untidy, unclean. During a time like this you would think things would be taken better care of than they are taken of at this store. Carts are never cleaned. Pallets left full on the floor while shelves are empty. Employees wondering around talking to each other instead of stocking and cleaning. I was there on Friday Oct. 2nd waiting in line to check out there were 2 registers open. The young man on register 1 was helping an older gentleman that was paying in all change. While on register 2 was the male key holder (Devin) who helped one lady before me then went to the safe and got a roll of quarters and put them in his register. He looked at myself and the 2 or 3 other ppl that were behind me rolled his eyes and walked away from the register and went behind the counter an sat on the floor. The young man on register 1 finished with his customer an was about to walk off until Devin told him he had customers waiting. I walked up to register 1 where Devin proceeded to try to push blamed on the young man for our wait. The young man tried to apologize to me for the wait but I told him he had nothing to apologize for it was his man on the floor that needed to apologize to both of us. To him for trying to push the blame on him for his lack of doing his job and taking care of customers also then trying to blame you then to me and the rest of these ppl that are standing here waiting that he rolled his eyes at and ignored. Customers always come first! This is unacceptable! This store needs to be Under New Management so the employees management included can be completely retrained on how to run this store right so we don't end up losing this store like a bunch of other businesses in the area because if it keeps being run the way it is this business is going to be lost because of poor management and being poorly cared for. Because people that work there don't care and that's sad when I know plenty of people that want to work there that do care about how it is run and...

As from the other reviews I've seen yes its a little on the dirty side but what my issue is everytime I go to get something like a dairy product from the refrigerated section, something is either moldy, or expired or its bad before the expiration date which means its been sitting put warm or probably not put up when it was suppose to. This has happened several times so now I will take the extra time to go to walmart instead. Ive ruined several meals because of this and I've learned my lesson.
