Lexington Country Greenhouses — Local services in Lexington

My husband and I love visiting nurseries and greenhouses, and we've done so quite often for years. We've honed our list of preferred nurseries to visit whether it be to purchase or to stop by on a lunch date, and I love the places we've gone to. They've been a great source of inspiration and peace to us when we had nowhere to garden. Still. This place blew everyone else out of the water. I'm a bit obsessed with plants and I love to study them and get familiarized with different species, but recently have felt like the variety of plants available to me have gotten a bit stagnant. Not this place. They had plants I'd never even heard of before, much less seen in person. Bougainvillea is one of the plants I'm always on the hunt for, and not only did they have some-- they were in different colors I didn't even know existed with the plant. The prices can't be beat with a stick, and the customer service and atmosphere are absolutely top notch. You could very easily get lost in there, with rows upon rows of lovingly cared for, happy, lush greenery. Not that getting lost in there would be what I'd consider a 'bad' thing by any means. Even still, anybody working there seems so kind, approachable and knowledgeable, I'm sure getting help if one finds themselves lost would be a breeze. I can only hope to have a high tunnel even HALF the size of ONE of theirs one day. So happy to have found this marvelous happy place! I kinda don't want to post this because... I'm tempted to be selfish and gatekeep...

The staff was so nice. Loved the plants. The only reason I'm giving it 4* is the pothos that we bought were full of aphids. Luckily my daughter noticed them before I placed them inside...
