My husband and I went in last month to order a new couch, from the beginning the sales representative was rude to us and my children and unhelpful with any questions we had. I asked her questions regarding the different type of couch types (lazboy vs England) and she just said they’re the same and are sister companies. However, they were about $3K price difference for the same size and pieces of a couch. When I was looking around, I overheard another couple say to a different representative that England was terrible which is why they were there for Lazboy. I asked why and they said within 3 years it has holes and broke and all they do is sit in it. I asked the sales rep about this and why they were such a huge price difference if they were the same and she said they’re the same and she recommends England. I asked her if she had one in her house to know what it’s like and she said no so I’m not quite sure why she was recommending that ($$ and didn’t know what she was talking about). I told her I wanted prices for 2 different types of couches and she told me she’s only going to do one for me because she doesn’t have time to do both. I’m sorry, but I’m spending a lot of money on this the least you could do is price check for me. I then told her I wanted a piece removed because I feared it was going to be too big. She said the couch would look weird if she removed a piece and insisted I get the extra piece and return if I didn’t like it. Read moreI recently bought a furniture set from Moore's. Everything was great for about two hours after we got the mattress on the bed, but the bed soon broke on the top left and bottom right. I was unhappy and emailed Moore's. Once they got the email the next morning, they contacted me immediately and repaired the issue the same day. Unfortunately, a few days later, the bed broke on the top right side. Again, I emailed them, all frustrated. So once more, as soon as they got the email, they reached out. They offered me a couple of options, and I said that I just wanted the bed to be taken away. No issues or arguments- they came out the same day to get the bed out and let me know the refund for it would arrive in about two weeks. We did keep the bedside tables, chest, and dresser w/mirror, though, as those had no problem. In the end, I ordered a metal platform off of Amazon as well as a fabric headboard since I'd be hard pressed to find wood that matched exactly.
The moral of the story isn't that Moore's sells bad furniture or not to buy from them; quite the opposite actually. I hope that, from my story, you're able to see how proficiently and professionally Moore's handled a bad situation that was beyond their control. While I'd usually consider myself relatively easy to deal with, I did not present my best face with Moore's, yet they never responded negatively, only with helpfulness and expedience. Read moreLinda our salesperson was great. It went all down hill after that. We were promised the table we purchased on Monday at the Limerick location would be available for pick up on Friday, and that we would get a phone call. Friday afternoon came without a phone call. I called the Limerick location and was told that our order was never sent to the main office.
I asked if there was any thing they could do for our inconvenience and was rudely told no. I was also told that I’d have to wait until at least Tuesday for it to be delivered to the Limerick store. I asked if it could be deliver to my home since I was promised I could pick it up Friday. I was told yes, but that there would be a delivery charge.
I also asked if I could pick it up at the Chester Springs location and was told yes. I again asked if there was anything they could do and again was rudely told no, but they’d have it ready in Chester Springs. When I got there, they were not aware I was coming to pick it up.
I asked to speak with the manager and again tried to get a little compensation for my inconvenience. I again was told no. I told him that, the person I spoke with in Limerick was rude and that their customer service was leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The manager told me to go home and have a glass of whiskey and that would make the taste go away.
