Luxor Liquor — Local services in Lincoln Park

I’ve been going to this store for over 5 years. The white girl with glasses (who’s rarely ever there) carded me when I bought cigarettes this evening. I’ve been going there for over 5 years, and have NEVER been carded on anything, by anyone, not even the owner, as they know I am well over 21, and I have been going there, again, over 5 years, so they know I am of age! The, “lady”, had the audacity to card me for no reason! She pretended like I just walked in for the first time. She is rarely ever there, but has helped me on occasion. The few times she is there and have helped me, and I’ve bought cigarettes, she never carded me the other times, but because she was having a bad day, she wanted to take it out on me, and insisted on being difficult for no reason, with a very bad attitude. She pretended and blamed her carding me, because I had on a hat and mask (which I wear each and every time I go for over 5 years), so it’s nothing new. She just wanted to pick me out, and be difficult. But I am NOT the one! Let’s just say that! Note to rude woman: If you don’t like working with customers, go work else where. It’s about consistency. Don’t pick some days to card people, and then not card other days. Furthermore, don’t play favoritism with some people and not card them, but you card others incessantly, when you know their age and know they have been patronizing this business consistently for over 5 years. I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. I will continue to go to the store, because overall, it’s an ok store, (I would say it is an awesome store, but the rude woman ruined that for everyone like a child) but she will not be cashing me out EVER AGAIN! My Mother went up to grab me a beer right at closing, when she approached the door a woman cashier apologized to my mother they were closed (I'm assuming they were walking out to leave for the night, which is fine) but then the Male tells the female "don't say sorry to them" very sarcastically... I was raised downriver and have avoided this place for years because of the always "pleasant" staff... But to act that way towards a 55 year old woman!? How disrespectful, talk to your own mothers that way. I'll drive 5 miles either way, but you will not get my patronage again. One bad attitude HAS and WILL cost...

I am in love with the brisk blood orange. I literally looked everywhere I can for them. Family Dollar has them 3 for $3. I have several family dollars that I pass all the time and I stop in there to see if they have them. Once in a blue moon, I get lucky and they have a few. I ordered them on Walmart plus to be delivered to my home and I can order 12. I’m lucky if I get six. But this party store is amazing.
