So Meijer prides itself on being the "24 hour everything store" right? Well then they should make it convenient for those of us customers taking advantage of that! It wasn't even that late, 9 maybe 9:30pm... First, the entire produce department was a hot mess, they had the center of it wide open and MOST fruit to one side and the veggies to the other but no space between the rack things. No one was doing anything so I'm not sure why it was like that. It was like that 3 weeks ago when I was there too but they were at least waxing the floor or repairing it or something, but they were DOING SOMETHING! Not so much today and there was a decent amount of people shopping, as I said it was still kind of early, not like I was pulling a 3am shop trip and expecting everything to be perfect. When I asked the guy standing in the middle of the floor where the bananas were he motioned toward the rear of the store and said "egh, they're back there somewhere maybe" and walked off when he turned and I noticed his tag said 'MANAGER' on it, I lost all hope for this location. This is my regular grocery store, but lately, I've been questioning that choice. Very popular items are on sale but not stocked, for example tonight, 2 liter's of all pop on sale 10 for $10, completely out of just regular Pepsi and the customer service counter closes at like 10pm now also and all the employees that are there stocking only seem to know about whatever product it is they're stocking right then and there! I only found out customer service closes early a couple weeks ago when I got home from a grocery trip to find my freezer broken, I had to go back with a HUGE tub of ice cream and spoke other frozen products as I had no where to store them. The girl standing in front of the counter conversing with another employee is truly lucky I'm not a violent woman because I came close that night! Lol She saw me walk in and up toward the customer service counter, waits until I walk all the way up there comes over and says (exactly like this) "oh, you want customer service right? Well they close early now so looks like you're SOL" she was nor smiling, nor joking, this b*%#! was for real! I said, "we'll ma'am I just left, my freezer is broken, I have nowhere to store this, is there someone that can return it for me?" Her response is where I bit my tongue and clenched my fist... "Yeah, customer service and they're closed!" I had to walk away and leave, I did call her boss the next morning and I don't usually do that kind of thing but, she honestly doesn't need to be working in that kind of job, she should be in the back, NOT dealing with customers! I'm truly disappointed with this location lately! Thinking I'll be going to the Allen Park location from now on, after the nonsense tonight with the "manager"and having to, LITERALLY climb thru racks to find my produce,...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis visit will be my last. It was horrible. I bought an air mattress and did not end up needing it. So I call to verify the return policy and get told as long as it's NOT opened and I have my receipt it's no problem. So I go. At the service desk I am asked what I want. I say I would like to return the air mattress and with out even seeing anything, Cheryl says, we don't return air mattresses. I explain that I called. It's unopened and I have the receipt. Ok well give it to me. She calls another employee over. They say they need to open the box to make sure it's not opened. This makes no sense. None at all. I told them it's not opened and it's not supposed to be opened. We need to verify that it's not opened. I tell them again. It has not been opened. The seals have not been broken. Well how else are we supposed to check if it's been opened? Is what I am told. So I told them as long as you are going to give me my full return after you open the package then go ahead and open it. They opened it and saw that it had never been opened before they opened it and gave me my return. I then proceeded to go through the store to get the items that I was trying to shop for. I get up to the self-checkout lanes and I am prompted for a coupon on the register which I accepted. Then the computer prompted that I needed and associates override for something so an associate came over and questioned me about cookies that I was trying to purchase. The questioning was along the lines of did you steal the cookies. After reviewing the video that I did not steal the cookies I was trying to cash them out, I was proceeding with the rest of my order when another associate popped up over my shoulder and started looking in my purse and asked if I was purchasing everything and then told me he had to go through my bags. After realizing that I was not stealing he tapped some stuff on the screen and went away. I will never go back to...
