THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Went once and thought it was pretty good. Went a second time, walked out pretty disappointed in their staff.
I was digging through a bin that was located next to another with people looking in that bin as well… When A female employee walks up and rudely tells random customers to pick up trash off the floor they didn’t put there. She was being snarky when she picked them up herself after she realized no one was going to do it for her.
One week the rules apply, the next they don’t. My first time there, no one advised me that it was ONE person PER number but yet they let two of us in with one number. The second week I went, they rudely stopped two different couples in line and would only let one person in with the number and made them wait. ON THE DOLLAR DAY. So I guess it just depends on their mood? Not sure.
When it came time to check out, I preceded to ask about the numbering situation and explained I have kids so only one person can come and get a number for the both of us. They tried saying if that’s the case, I can take two numbers. Well my friend tried that and they wouldn’t let her do that ON THE DOLLAR DAY. so they aren’t willing to work with you and will walk away mid conversation like the male employee did.
LASTLY, I was upset that their rules aren’t straight forward and confused on why they are kinda being rude. I mumbled to myself while checking on “it’s a dollar”, remembering I’m here doing this sh*t over dollar items. the female employee checking me out RUDELY AND IN A VERY NASTY TONE said “excuse me what was that?” As if I was mouthing off to her and I repeated “it’s a dollar” and she glared at me and said nothing else. I couldn’t believe that. I was getting mean mugged while putting my items into a bag.
Unprofessional, rude, disorganized, and confusing is all I got from that business and...
Read moreThe pictures depicted here are VERY accurate. They are open items, trash, things spilling (from half open bottles of liquid), food, clothing and everything in between, packed in the containers.
The containers are about 4 feet deep, therefore there is no way to see what is being sold. The reviewer who said if you're not a rummager to stay home, is absolutely correct. I walked in, looked around for about five minutes, and knew it wasn't going to be worth my time.
There's noway to actually go through the containers. They are piled high...there's no table, or anything for that matter, to set the things aside that you're not interested in purchasing.
The only things they are on display are the appliances, mattresses, and soap.
Everything else looks like trash. I am not doubting that you can find useable items, but how are you supposed to actually find them? Rummage through a container for an hour? Seriously??
There are no shelves or racks, which is unbelievable. Who came up with this concept? Is it so they don't have to pay the workers to actually unpack and organize items? Would it really be that difficult to set things up like every other store?
5)The only day that would be worth going is on Tuesdays when everything is $1.
Use your time more efficiently....give this "store" a pass. There are numerous shops in Lincoln that makes the shopping experience...
