TLDC version - Some ok, most really bad - would not buy from them again nor recommend anyone to this dealership. Sold me a used truck under the premise that it was a new truck with full warranty.
I bought a new Silverado roughly two months ago and have been waiting to write this review to give myself and the dealer enough time to work the present issues and also give myself enough time to gather facts to write a completely objective review.
Called before we drove six hours to see a truck and was told the truck was available and that they would hold it until we got there. Upon arrival (same day as we called) - we found out the truck we were there to look at was not there/unavailable and was being used as a demo promo. Strike 1... They scrambled and found an identical truck that had been a part of their demo program with 1500 miles- however were told that it was still "New" and had the full warranty attached. Completely ok with this truck and I completely understood it was a new demo truck with some mileage. Sales process was quick and we came to a agreeable price using some factory rebates, decent trade value and gm points (the ok part of this review). Paper work was completed, and delivery was taken. Upon getting home and doing some digging after something didn't seem right - I found out that I was sold a "Used" truck with all paperwork stating that its new. The truck had been titled in the state of MO by the dealer (receipts were left in the glove box), bought by the dealer from the manufacture as it shows on the registration and title receipts and two months of the factory warranty were already used. A quick google search will reveal that once a car is titled - it is considered used. I was given a title instead of a MSO which by my own ignorance - I should have recognized during the paperwork process. I can't imagine how many people this has happened to. They could easily disguise this unethical practice if you finance - you would never see the MSO or title. Still not sure how they used new factory rebates and GM credit card points on a used car sale. We called the dealer immediately and have been met with nothing but people giving us the run around, giving us BS excuses (such as we had to do it for insurance purposes) as to what happened and false promises of call backs in hopes to come to a resolution. I should have known better when they lied to us about the initial truck being available. We've resorted to opening up a case with GM to hopefully get this issue resolved. I personally had a terrible and unacceptable experience with this dealer. I will never buy from them again and will recommend anyone to seriously read between the lines if they do business with...
Read moreVery disappointed in the quality of service at Jim Butler. Called them a couple months back and told them the dashboard of my Equinox went out. They came to my work to pick it up. I never heard back from them all day. When I called them, they notified me that I needed my radio replaced and that they would have to keep my vehicle since they had it torn apart. I had to drive home an old Buick that they left at my work. They ordered a refurbished radio, and returned my car. When I went to drive it home, the radio sounded horrible. They picked up my car again, left me another old Buick to drive, and told me they would need to order another radio. They delivered my vehicle, and I noticed the radio still sounded funny. They told me the radio was fine, but I needed a new speaker. They ordered one, and finally after $1,500 spent and a week without my car, the problem was fixed. Then just a couple months later and a month after I was there for a service, my Equinox broke down driving to work, and I had it towed to JB. They told me I needed a new battery and alternator. I had to call them to find out what was wrong with it. They were supposed to deliver it to my work two days later and forgot to do that, so I had to wait. Then they told me to send them a copy of my 15% off coupon and failed to deduct it off my $1,200 invoice. This whole process was a huge hassle, and they didn't seem to care that they inconvenienced a customer. I just took my son there last year and bought a Silverado truck. I will not be buying another vehicle from them nor going back for a service. Definitely not the same quality of service that I received when they were...
Read moreWould not recommend! The Chevy salesman Tony was only worried about getting a large sale. If he wasn't going to have that sale, no one there could. Even pulled in a manager from somewhere else to say I couldn't afford any of their cars. They should really consider providing the best customer service as I would have bought the Jeep I drove as it was more comcomfortable to drive. Plus it was something more comfortable price range as well ($350 a month instead of $500 something a month). I didn't have to put money down on the Jeep where the Chevy he acted like I had to. I continue to get emails from him and the dealership trying to sell to me the chevy. Sad to say the Jeep salesman was nice, but due to Tony (and the manager he brought in) I went and bought a new jeep somewhere else that even got me a warranty and everything in my price range of $200's monthly and a shorter loan with no money down! Now I still got a lot of spending money a month for traveling that I do and told them about as that's why I wanted a new vehicle. Sad to say they don't seem to be like they use to be when Mike was around. We had bought 3 vechiles before when Mike was there...
