I would have given 5 starts as the trees are beautiful and most of the staff are pleasant not to mention the delicious and free hot chocolate and fun Christmas tree maze, but I had a few issues. I asked to be pointed in the direction of the 5 foot trees and after some careful consideration we picked our tree. My daughter was able to cut most of the way through and allowed me the glorious "timber" moment. We carried our tree back to the cart and were going to use the saw (as I have none at home) to trim the bottom branches when an employee said "Don't worry ma'am, they will take care of that for you at the bottom when we bring it down"...okay I though and off we went through the mud back to the tree yard to await our tree. The tree arrived safe and sond and I asked again about the limbs, the man said, " We will shake off the needles, cut off the lower branches and wrap it up for you" and we watched as he handed off our tree to yet another man who measured it, shook it and then laid it on the wrapping table. "Wait" I said, I want those bottom branches off because I have no saw at home", to which he replied, "Of course, we will trim them up and give you a nice fresh cut (even though we just cut it down 20 minute prior)" He proceeded to give me a tag which stated my tree was 6-8 ft tall...ugh, that's an additional $12 dollars that is hard for me to scrape together, and told me to go pay while he gets my tree ready and my daughter (15) would stay behind and show him our car and he would tie it on for me. That was an additional cost as well but worth it. I got it home and unwrapped it and was trying to put it in the stand with great difficulty due to the fact that they refused to cut off the thick bottom branches. I have now spent two days trying to get the tree to stay straight in the stand with those pesky bottom limbs. I think the staff is friendly but just didn't listen to my repeated request and I was also wish I knew the tree was taller than I expected. Next year we will try a different tree farm in hopes to not run into this problem again. Beautiful...
Read moreThis is the first year I went to this farm because it was so highly rated. It ended up being a pretty aweful idea. The trees they allowed you to choose from all appeared to be stressed or were actually dying (branches full of brown needles or completely dried out dead). There was no pricing on the actual trees like every other tree farm I've been to, so I assumed (I know, one should never assume) the price for the tree would be similar to that of the same height trees I've purchased in years past at other tree farms. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $80 for the tree I cut. I later found out their pre-cut trees were $30 cheaper for a similar height tree, which only added to the already poor experience I was having there. The parking attendants were rude, mouthy, and parking vehicles too close together - I was barely able to open my door to get out of my truck. There was poor signage, no direction, and most certainly no adherence to the spacing rules they said were in effect due to COVID guidelines. This was the most stressful and unenjoyable experience I've ever had picking a Christmas tree. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are plenty of other farms that will not only allow you to enjoy the adventure of picking just the right tree with your family, but will also ask a fair price for their product. Never again will I ever consider going...
Read moreMy husband and I came here midday on a Saturday (12/9). We had no problem finding parking, and although the parking area is dirt, there was minimal mud. Cut-your-own was already sold out for the season, but there was plenty of selection for pre-cut trees. This is the first year my husband and I are getting a tree together, so we didn't know anything about different species. Fortunately, one of the employees (Charlie) was extremely helpful and patient with showing us the different species and helping us pick out the right tree. We chose a balsam fir, which cost us $60 - pricing looked to be based on height, and our tree fell under the 5'-6' range. As a bonus, they also have goats and sheep you can pet (the baby goats are super friendly!) and there's fire pits where you can roast marshmallows if you buy some. We had a great time getting our tree here and would happily come...
