Big and beautiful. Alden Lane Nursery is a great place to visit to get help, get ideas and inspiration if you are a gardener. It is one of the biggest Bay Area garden nurseries. Worth the drive if you are looking for a particular fruit tree, rose, or Japanese maple. Extensive garden statues and decor. They are placed for sale throughout the nursery.

#LetsGuide Tip: If you preorder by December the previous year fruit trees or roses, you can receive a 15% discount and you also will get a discount if you purchase more than 3.

The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. This isn’t like going to a big box home improvement store where there is no one there or can answer any of your gardening questions. This place is pricier because of this but it is so worth visiting and buying from a local, small business. Be sure to signup for their newsletter / mailing list. Alden also has special gardening events throughout the year.

During Spring, this place is beautiful to visit. Things are starting to bloom. Their vegetable and tomato selection is at their best. So many to choose from.

#dogfriendly - they are warmly welcomed.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Sharon!

My husband and I have struggled with having a green thumb, and needed to replace some dead plants. While looking for some plants that have managed to survive the full sun in our front yard and fight through the hot summers, we ran into Sharon and decided to ask for help. She asked us thoughtful questions and then showed us beautiful and unique plants and trees we have not considered before or even noticed during previous visits. She also gave us stellar advice on how to dig, set, and water our plants, making us feel confident we’ll achieve our green thumb!

Designing our front yard will take time, which means many more visits to Alden Lane. We know to look or ask for Sharon when we’re there and in need of help. She’s knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and accommodating - she’s a gem!

P.S. Sharing a pic of one of the plants she recommended that we...

This is really the most beautiful nursery I've ever seen in my life. I've brought friends and family and visitors here because I've never seen anything like it anywhere. It is expensive.... but the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable... and many things here are so spectacular... it's hard to resist. Sadly, most bay area nurseries are shabby at best, and don't offer what you are looking for. Not exactly so with Alden Lane. You may be hard pressed to find that rare gem you're looking for - but in it's place you'll find hundreds of beautiful and wonderful things you never considered - and the prices are excellent. They also have some unique garden structural and artistic items you would be very hard pressed to find anywhere else. These items are at a premium, but if you are looking for such things in northern california this is a good...

When it comes to bay area nurseries, I drive the whole bay area in search of the cream of the crop and Alden Lane nails it. It's embarrassing mentioning that today was the first time visiting this place but I'll definitely be coming back more often knowing what a gem it is. Starting at the entry, it gives you estate vibes - then you see the building, beautiful space. Now the selection, they have everything and unlike many nurseries, their pepper selection is on 🔥. Hot and super hot peppers, bell peppers and everything in between. Lots of places the plants look sad and malnourished, but this place they are vibrant and healthy. Definitely will be visiting on a regular basis to see what else I find
