Went in there today with a rifle that was new to me, and I was trying to sight it myself. It was the first time I’ve shot this rifle and was trying to get familiar with it. First, the red dot sight was dead, owner was nice enough and changed out the battery for me for only a dollar. Second, I’m a newer gun owner, I know the basics, but am still quite new. Trying to sight my rifle, unbeknownst to me the sight was so off I was actually hitting the ground with my bullets, an employee noticed, and notified me of what was going on. One it made me feel safe people are paying attention, and two I felt terrible and was very apologetic. The employee was very nice, spoke to me with respect, which was great because I was embarrassed I didn’t notice this. A few minutes later the employee brings out a rest for me when I didn’t even ask, and eventually took the time to help me sight the rifle perfectly. I didn’t ask for this at all, but showed that someone cared to help a newbie out. I probably would’ve never got it myself, he didn’t even use my ammo for the test shots!!! So I get to the counter and the employee didn’t even want to charge me for sighting the rifle but I insisted because I was so impressed with him helping me and not making me feel embarrassed. It was only my second time at this range but I won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend this place as customer service is phenomenal, ESPECIALLY in this stressful time. Anywhere else I probably wouldve gotten kicked out, or shouted at and then they walk away. Please come here and shoot
Ps they have some really...
Read moreWanted to update my review on this range as it’s been awhile since my first initial review. I’ve been a member here for going on 2+yrs now, and I have to say, I’ve loved my time here. It’s a welcoming range, with a nice little merchandise section/lobby, a good selection of firearms to rent/buy, ammo, targets, etc. they have 10 stalls for shooting and a nice touchscreen interface on some stalls for ease of use. I also recently bought a new carbine my first one at that, and was unfamiliar with how to go about sighting in my iron sights on it, I asked if they would be willing to lend me a hand/give me some guidance, and the owner was more than willing to help me sight it in and get it scary accurate for a rifle with iron sights. Amazing customer service and all the guys have a great vast knowledge on firearms. They also offer gunsmithing,CCW classes, etc. all in all this is a great range/firearms store for all your needs in valley city and I’d recommend anyone looking for a range to go to check this place out and give it a try. I love it here....
Read moreI have been to a decent amount of gun stores but this one by far is my favorite. There are three many things that elevate this store over the others. First would be the guys behind the counter. Everyone who works their is knowledgeable and extremely helpful in explaining laws and general firearm knowledge . Plus everyone there including the owner is just fun to chat with and is well versed with military and firearm history.Second they have an actual range. Yea it’s great when a store has a lot of inventory but it’s better to also able to shoot what you have. Its really nice that they allow you to shoot used firearms just to see how they handle. Now this leads to the third reason it’s my favorite gun store, which would be that you can rent class 3s. Prior to going here I had no experience with anything that wasn’t just semi auto. I have almost tried every full auto in their inventory and I hope more get added eventually. So if your looking for somewhere to spend an hour or two plinking or need some advice on a build, then Riveredge is the...
