BJ's Catering and Event Center — Local services in Livingston Township

A surprise find in Gaylord! Know this is long, but wow what I have to share...

My wife and I up from Florida met for lunch with two friends who suggested BJ's. My wife and I arrived early and were immediately greeted by smiling faces and even though our friends had not arrived yet, the hostess gave us a choice of tables. Drink orders were taken and brought before we could read through the multiple paged menu with very reasonably priced selections. Many under $10 which came with chips and very large portioned dinners for just over $10. Or the very large selection of salad items with 6 different soup selections as well. BTW The dinner includes a trip to the salad & soup bar!  There is also a buffet stlye selection of meats, potatoes and greens if you want the buffet. Being from Florida I saw the Grouper dinner and ordered it. OH MY GOSH! I had gotten a large salad with all the fix'ins with a delicious cup of potato soup. I was chowing on that when my grouper dinner arrived. Two LARGE thick portions of grouper that were cooked just right. Not over cooked, cut with a fork moist and a tongue delight to taste not fishy at all. Included with the dinner was a generous serving of real mashed potatoes with brown gravy AND green beans cooked wonderfully. Catering Review

BJ's went above and beyond for our Vegan wedding reception in Glen Arbor! From the start with planning with Margaret, to the delicious meal prepared by chef Mark, to the positive and professional waitstaff, and to the friendly bartenders, everyone was wonderful! They were responsive and flexible regarding our special requests. The appetizers, salads, rolls, and main entrees were all perfect! And I have to say it was one of the top dinners we have ever eaten. Many of our guests expressed how they couldn't believe it was vegan, as it was the first all vegan meal for many. The dinner was served buffet style and the last plate served was still hot!

We also rented our lines, china, flatware, and glassware from BJ's. Everything was in great condition and it was convenient to work with one company for all of our reception dinner needs.

We will be sure to recommend BJ's to all of our friends and family for their catering needs! I also highly recommend BJ's to those planning a vegan event, as we found most Northern Michigan caterers were not able to accommodate...

On our way back from a Bob Seger concert, we googled restaurants with Thanksgiving Day buffet and luckily BJ’s Restaurant came up. The place was packed but we were seated within minutes even without reservations. Everyone was amazing from the owner to the waitresses. The buffet was incredible. So much variety and freshness and everything was made from scratch and tasted like mom’s home cooking! Best Mac and cheese and green bean casserole Hands down; turkey was tender and juicy and oh so good! Not a fancy place but everything was neat and clean and the staff took pride in everything they did. So thankful we found this place and plan to stop again any time we travel through Gaylord.
