When I was a kid, our family camped at Dale Hollow. It was a memorable experience of Harmony at the docks asking if we got our “minners” (minnows) for the day, boating, pitching our tent on Goat Island, then boating back into the docks when we discovered a swarm of bees near our camp. Read moreWe loved Dale Hollow lake! We camped out in a tent. The people there were very friendly. It is very hard to fish here because of how clear the water is. There is a small area where you could get into to swim but we thought it was too rugged. Their camps sights are pretty close together but if you go on days that are not crowded it is really quiet. I loved how many play grounds are here. They keep things really clean and there are good hiking trails. Beware of ticks. I got one and about freaked out. They warn you of them with signs. The water is so clear you can see the hair on your legs if you have any....lol...by far my happy place! Its extremely clean too! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this awesome lake!
