Dollar General — Local services in Locust Grove

When I was coming here i was planning on only spending like 5 minutes here. Since they had remodeled the store i have no clue where anything is. When i got what i came here for and it was time to get in like the line was forming into two different lines that wouldn't have happened in the other store as bad as it had this time. People that was in line were having to get in ways of some of the isles and blocking other customers from getting by since the lanes are so narrow and this is a small store for how much the company has fit in here is ridiculous. I saw people lining up from every direction and i was trying to make sure everyone was waiting till their turn up to the cashier. This shouldn't be my job to do. they need to find a better way to get a line made instead of in other isles. Last but not least there was only one cashier at the time that was apologizing and the other cashier was on break. In this situation a manager should step in or another employee should step in and take over. This one trip was supposed to be a 5 minute trip that turned into a 10 minute trip only for one item. I had a very frustrating experience at Dollar General today. I tried to use a valid manufacturer coupon, and when the cashier wasn’t sure about it, she asked for clarification from another employee, Kate. Instead of checking the policy or even attempting to scan the coupon, Kate simply responded with “Uh uh, nope”—no explanation, no effort, just pure dismissal.

There was zero effort to provide good customer service, no explanation, and no attempt to help. It was clear she just didn’t want to be bothered. Manufacturer coupons are meant to be accepted, and if there was an issue, she should have at least explained why rather than shutting it down with attitude.

This is exactly the kind of bad customer service that drives people away. I won’t be shopping at this location again, and I’d recommend others take their business somewhere that actually...

From an ingredient, I forgot to grab at the grocery store, a card, something cute and inexpensive to decorate for each holiday, dish towlels, toilet paper, paper towels, a candle, a soft comfy blanket, extras to add to gifts or a gift baskets (adults or children), sunscreen, something safe for pets and humans for the unreal amount of bugs due to living living near a large body of water. You name it, you will most likely find it there! The remodle provided more options food wise, so you don't have to deal with the unreal traffic. The staff is always nice and kind.
