American Pizzeria — Restaurant in Locust Grove

I’ve patiently waited 2 weeks before writing this review in hopes they would fix the situation but here I am having to write a bad review! Order over the phone 2 weeks ago the girl on the phone had no idea what she was doing when taking my order. I should have known them to order some where else but it’s my son favorite place to eat so I ordered anyways. I ordered a family meal that was $20.99 but made the butter balls a large instead of small. (Maybe $5 more if that) and another deal that was $15. I was charged $85 and some change! (Unfortunately I sent my husband to pick it up so he didn’t know we was being charged way to much!) I called the store asked for manager they said the owners here would u like to speak to him? Of course I say yes thinking he would actually care. Nope! He hung up on me!! Shows how much he really cares about his customers! If I could give 0 stars I would! And even tho it’s my son favorite place to eat I will NEVER spend another penny in this place! All u had to do was talk to me and make it right but as I was reading other reviews I see this is a common thing! So if anyone does eat there check...

The staff at this location is why I'm taking a moment to review. The food was great but I want to shout out to the crew. The Customer Service was ON POINT. Everyone worked as a team to serve us, & others who walked in when we did. After we were served our food, hey man, who had been drinking, came & sat down at table next to us. Then tried to sit WITH us LOL He was not crazy drunk but you could tell he struggled with this in his life & you never know when someone's mood will shift from 'happy drunk' to 'aggitated drunk', which is what happened before he was escorted out... He had come in a couple of times the manager said, so the manager was on his guard. The inebriated man didn't really do any harm to us verbally or otherwise but the entire staff was concerned about our well-being, checking in us repeatedly. Finally they removed him & they still continued to make sure we we're ok! We will definitely visit this location again. Finding a crew that functions more like a family is hard to find....

After googling resturants near us we ordered pizza over the phone to take back to our hotel after a long day of traveling. We were here on a Monday at 4:30pm and were a bit nervous that the restaurant was empty. We ordered the 5 meat and a pepperoni pizza as well as the cinnamon knots. WE WERE SO PLEASED! The pizza was fabulous! Everyone loved it! Perfect amounts of cheese and sauce in every bite. The real MVP's were the cinnamon knots. Oh my goodness when I tell you I've never had any cinnamon sticks, buns, rolls, etc that were this good in my life I am not just saying that. I dont give excellent reviews they must be earned and this place did just that! If I'm ever within a 30 mile radius of this place again I WILL BE STOPPING! I am so sad that I live 300 miles away and cant get this food more often. Locust Grove residents are lucky to have this place! I'm so glad that I took a chance on an unknown pizzeria and didnt just go to a pizza chain. Thank you American...
