Went in to see if they had any decent radio's ( Citizens band radio's) to purchase...I'm a trucker so having a cb is very important to me...I was thinking about buying one but her inventory was limited to say the least...I was on a 34 hour re-start so it would've been an ideal time to have it done...I was NOT impressed by what the bldg looked like...it was extremely run down and it definitely needed some paint and interior design done...( they in fact do live there too ) I thanked sissy for her time because she had another customer come in and I left...but unfortunately it didn't end there...as I was getting ready to pull out of my parking spot @ the LOVE'S...Buck pulled up in his suv and blocked me in preventing me from leaving...then asked me if I happen to know where one of sissy's dog was...I told him I hadn't seen the dog except for when I was leaving and he got out when the other customer opened the door... Then to make matters more complicated and worse...Sissy drove up to me and she to buck...that he needs to check the inside of my truck for her dog...I didn't appreciate her accusations...I should've refused but I didn't...then I even got more pissed and left the 2 of them by my truck...I SHOULD'VE LOCKED MY DOORS...I went to look for their dog and found him in the tall grass by the road scurrying to the door of their shop...and all Sissy could say ...was she was sorry for accusing me of taking her dog... Here's a simple suggestion: DON'T GO ACCUSING A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER if you want their business... Just a foot note to why I was leaving my front row parking spot...I had finished my 34 and was going to leave and go get my next load...thank you very much !!! Not my problem that your dog got out...maybe you should put them on a retractable leash and your husband too...I should've notified the police for your accusations...I definitely won't be back and I'm gonna warn other drivers to stay away from your unstable and pathetic disgusting shop...very unprofessional and...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving this "business" 1 star is because i can't give it a zero. I stopped in to see if Sissy could do a quick install. Something i could do easily myself. I have the knowledge, skills and ability as well as proper tools to do a simple install. Because of a failed knee replacement i figured i would pay someone to do it for me. I should have walked out as soon as i saw how nasty their shop was. Dogs all over. Sissy working inside a radio with it laying on her lap, while wearing dirty pajama pants, because the workbench was so full of trash and boxes. I thought to myself, im here, she should be able to handle a simple install. WOW, was i wrong. Her and her husband armed with a few adjustable wrenches and other crappy tools and zero inventory of parts, they didn't even have a basic SWR meter but used another radio to tune the antenna. Well 5 hours into the install i started getting irritated with their lack of knowledge of basic electrical principles as well as top loaded antennas/ground planes. I should have cut my losses and left then, I blame myself for not. After providing them my option how to mount, she became very defensive and condescending. Finally after the 6th hour, close to 9pm, they said they finished. Frustrated I just paid (over paid) and left. When I got home i inspected the job they did. Coaxial cable run through the back of my cab with no grommet, poor attempt to hide the wiring, antenna mount made from a powered coated bracket (wonder why the antenna wasn't getting a ground) and discovered they took my mic and left me with a broken mic. Wife was bitten up by fleas and i even had fleas in our truck that must have come from their clothes they were wearing that looked as if they haven't been laundered in months. I removed everything they did the next day and did what I should have done at first, did it myself. Perfect 1:1 match on the antenna Sissy couldn't tune with her beginner electrical knowledge! That was a waste of $ and time! ...
Read moreAbout a year ago I parked my truck outside the shop here and asked a guy in the shop if I was ok to park my truck where I was, he said it wasn’t a problem at all, I then asked him if he minded if I setup my little portable grill and cooked some dinner he also didn’t mind, I had been on the road for a while and recently found out my wife was a couple months pregnant and I was super excited but also feeling pretty lonely in that moment so some company over dinner would have been nice I asked the gentleman who was there if he had any interest in a steak and some beans I was grilling and he said “sure!” It was one of those nights I surprisingly wasn’t in a rush to take my break and hurry back on the road so I stayed up a little later than I normally do and sat there talking with this dude about cars, Harley’s, life music you name it! He had a bad a$$ el Camino he just unloaded off a trailer and an awesome Harley with a custom mural painted on it, he told me stories of legendary people he tattooed in the past and played his drums we just jammed out! I know this is a long rant but I never really realized at the time how much I needed a friend that night! I’m terrible with names but I do believe he was called “monkey man” thank you sir and I hope you are well (and I hope your sons tattoo shop is...
