Waffle House — Restaurant in Locust Grove

Waffle House is less than a mile from my house, so we go there a lot. Different times on any given day. We went there on 7/24/2016 at around 1:15-1:30 pm. We went inside, only 2 booths were occupied. No one spoke to us. We seated ourselves, and looked at the minue. And waited, and waited, waited, and waited. 5 minutes went by, only a few more people came in. 8 minutes later, nothing. Still, not even 10 people are there. 10 minutes went by.... Nothing. I was looking around and watching all the employees. I was waiching 1 particular waitress, which was feeding the juke box. Then went back around the counter, and was just standing there. And stood there for a long time. The couple in the booth behind us, left. The waitress went to clean the table, and it took her 5 minutes to clean it. When she was done, she want back to the end of the counter and stood there. By this time, we had been waiting for someone to greet us and take our order, for right at 20 minutes. Well, finally she decided to get some silverware and napkins and headed toward our direction. I looked at my spouce and watch, and said... "25 minutes". Well, she finally greeted us and gave a lame excuse for why it took her so long to get to us. All the while, I had been watching her. My spouce and I looked at each other and got up and left. We ended up going 12 miles down the road to yet another Waffle House. Which was a completely, totally different experience. Vivian was our waitress, which was wonderful to us. I am a 28 year, retired waitress. I personally know the tricks of waitressing. And that particular waitresses performance wasn't acceptable, not to me. I had to support 2 kids on a waitress salary. So I know I had told do a good job in order to get gratuity from my customer. I enjoyed my job, and was very good at it. Oh it had it's perks, but what job don't. We WILL NOT be going to that particular location, until that particular waitress is no longer there. UPDATE: It’s 10/21/23 @ 7:52 I called again this morning explain the situation. I was asked do I still have the food I said yes. She then said hold on let me check. WAIT WHAT! (I’m a truck driver. I couldn’t go back, I didn’t have time on my clock.) I order my food last night called multiple times no answer, I still have the food with the hair in it with my receipt. May I add I’m black with short hair pulled back in a pony tail. This hair was long and blond, as you can see in the picture. What else is there to talk about or check. I wasn’t even asking for a refund! I wanted my food made again! And your had to check and see if you can do that. I thought that was common sense! No one, don’t matter who you are wants to eat food with hair in it. Let alone somebody else hair! I guess it’s the fact she had to put me on hold to check when that should be a no brainer! It’s hair in my food! I have the food and the receipt why not remake it! Smh I’m good with this Waffle House. If my regular people not working imma keep it moving!

I drive trucks, so I bt over to the Waffle House. I ordered the all star special tonight 10/20/23. I ate my waffle while waiting for the rest of my food. Once my food was done it was bagged up, I finish eating my waffle and left. Got to my destination shut down shower time to eat. Just to start eating my eggs and bacon and pulled a long F$$KING piece of hair out my mouth THAT’S NOT MINE! Im guessing the steam from my food cause the water. So I moved my bacon and bread bc i don’t like soggy bread. I called like 5times to get somebody on the phone to let them know once my time reset I’m coming back. However NO...

I was very excited to stop at this waffle house since it brought me a lot of childhood memories!! It has been around 16 years since I last was here! I remember being very busy, clean, fast, delicious food, etc, always an A+! Today that I went by, it's nothing compared to 16 years ago . I stopped here at midnight. As soon as I walked in, there was a waffle house waiter with her 8 month baby in a table! I believe the father of that baby was the cook 🍳 he cooked and rushed to carry the baby to help Mama. Carrying the baby in the lobby, Mama, going out to the car back and forth! Then they went into the bathroom and came out with a whole different outfit like they changed in the bathroom! It was like a daycare! I don't plan on going back. It's very, very unprofessional for employees to be doing those types of stuff. Dirty people...
