Raley's — Local services in Lodi

The Lodi Raley’s is probably one of the better locations in our area because of the availability of things I’m looking to purchase. I tend to have more of a selection and I’m sure it’s because it’s obviously a bigger store then others in area. Today I was very pleased with my purchase from the bakery. I’m usually very please with the bakery actually. My current favorite is the Tuxedo bar cake. If you haven’t tried it then you really should, especially if you like both regular chocolate and white chocolate. It’s the best combination of the 2 without it being too sweet. If you choose to get the chocolate bar cake without the white chocolate then you must prepare yourself for something that is very very rich because the filling is basically chocolate frosting which I’m sure is great to some of you but please trust me when I say the tuxedo cake is good. It isn’t frosting that’s it’s filled with, it’s a pudding I believe. Actually now that I think of it maybe I shouldn’t share this info because it may not be available for me when I come to get it. I guess it’s too late now. Anyways I am happy to shop at the Lodi location because the workers are much more respectful then the other close store besides 1 young man at the other location is a great worker I have to say. He always closes as a cashier there with Curley black hair. He’s wonderful. But besides him I’d rather shop here at Lodi where I’m treated like a human and...

Best selection of specialty items. A bit expensive on most items but they had some good sales that were competitive with other big grocers. Quality is usually really good. Store is clean and service is mostly good.

The assistant at self check out was a lady (around her 60's) who was a bit rude staring at us while we were checking out. I'm 40 years old and smart enough to do this on my own without her interrupting and telling me what to do like a child the whole way through. To top it off, she offended us by asking if we paid for the two bags we used. Do you really assume all men younger than you are thieves? Of course we did, this isn't Stockton lady... and really?! They're 20 cent plastic bags... calm down... SMH If I ever go back I'll choose the cashiers line to avoid...

Raley’s is my favorite grocery store in town! It is always clean, the variety of foods is vast and thoughtfully curated, and the service is good for the most part. Some of my favorite offerings at this store are the meat at the deli counter, the large selection of artisan cheeses, the variety of local goods, the delicious goodies in the bakery, and the excellent produce.

I like that you can pop in there any time of day and be met with a smile. I prefer to go during off peak times, so I can shop in peace and not wait in lines.
