There is a bathroom at the parking area. The trail is marked well. It is a loop. So one way. We got a map at the Welcome Center so we were prepared. Take your camera or video camera's and have fun. Such a peaceful place to get out enjoy yourself in the great outdoors! The waterfall is so pretty and different than others the way it parts and flows around the big rock in the middle. There is a cave over to the side of the waterfall. if you arrange yourself in just the right spot to take pics it looks like you can either catch the water or it is falling upon your head. Very cool. We got some amazing pictures with no one else in them but us. It is a very short walk from the trailhead. It is easily accessible and child friendly. Within steps of Cedar Falls is hidden Falls. There is a parking lot right next to the falls, but I parked at the Visitor Center and took the Buckeye Trail from there to Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls with a detour to Whispering Cave.
