There is a bathroom at the parking area. The trail is marked well. It is a loop. So one way. We got a map at the Welcome Center so we were prepared. Take your camera or video camera's and have fun. Cedar Falls is a must if in Hocking Hills! We went at the end of April beginning of May. It was virtually isolated. No one was there but us. It was beautiful. It was flowing nicely. We got some amazing pictures with no one else in them but us. It is a very short walk from the trailhead. It is easily accessible and child friendly. Within steps of Cedar Falls is hidden Falls. Went on a Monday in October, and the place was absolutely bustling. There is a parking lot right next to the falls, but I parked at the Visitor Center and took the Buckeye Trail from there to Old Man's Cave to Cedar Falls with a detour to Whispering Cave. Pretty nice scenery throughout, and the falls were nice as well.
