What a cool spot. It is about a 15 minute hike from Cedar Falls. You will start at the same trailhead and hike down. You will notice clear signage to go to cedar falls, and one to take you to Old Man's Cave (take this bridge). I would say it is a moderate hike over some tricky terrain. We did it when it was wet, so it was that much harder.
If you want to see both falls do this one first, then take the same way back and follow the signs to Cedar Falls. That is the best way to do it. We did Cedar Falls then Whispering Falls - we got a few more stairs in.
