Dollar General — Local services in Loganville

Went in the store it was in its usual mess with empty shelves and boxes all over the place. Go to the register to check out, and the only option was self check out. I was paying with cash so had to stand there for 5 mins waiting for someone to come to the register. While waiting was having a conversation with my brother that the manager there had said they were not hiring “because she had enough people already”. Clearly she doesn’t have anywhere near enough people. She herself seems more concerned with smoking than actually working. Anyway, she got a complete attitude when she butted in to our conversation. I told her her attitude was not necessary and she got an even bigger attitude. As we were leaving she had a cigarette in her hand walking out in front of us. I asked her name because I was going to report her, she ignored me the first two times I asked her name. The third time she turned with her fist balled up at me and said, “My name is Candace and I don’t have an attitude!” I informed her I was reporting her and took a picture of her standing in the front door of the store wide open smoking. Wow! Just wow! I will not go back to the store until she’s gone. I have reported it to dollar general as I felt threatened by her. I really hope they handle it. Kind of upset with them the way they do under cigarettes I don't see why you can't buy the carton of cigarettes there like you can anyone where else but I get it they want to charge you $4.27 a pack for each one of them so they can make more profit off of you it's bad enough that you go into a dollar store and having to pay outrageous prices that you do and now they got it to where you can't even buy a pack of cigarettes there well then stop selling them if you're not going to sell them by the cartons too. I'll be honest. I never had a problem with this DG until today. The lady ringing people up had an attitude that I wasn't expecting. I was fine with waiting for the self checkout but she was like "you want me to ring you up or what?" And I figured fine, she's already open and put my stuff up on the counter, asking how her day was and she tells me she basically had freezer stuff to put up and I was wasting her time. 😑 So obviously I wasn't expecting her to be so rude. They're other, nicer Dollar Generals in my area so I won't be coming back to this one. Because I know people have bad days but you don't need to take it out on...
